After last week’s Helldivers 2 patch, yet another new issue arose with the ship module upgrade Superior Packing Methodology failing to work as advertised. Also the CE-27 Ground Breaker armor had its Engineering Kit passive swapped for the Servo-Assisted passive. While the latter has been addressed in this patch, the Superior Packing Methodology upgrade still does not function correctly.

Those issues with cross-platform friends and cross-play invites persist as well, we’re sorry to report.

Good day citizens and Helldivers of Super Earth
Today we bring crash fixes as well as a calibration to one of our existing armors passive ability.

  • Fixed multiple crashes that could occur in the loadout screen when other players left or joined the game.
  • Fixed multiple crashes that could occur after extraction when the mission results and rewards were shown.
  • Fixed crash which could occur when throwing back a grenade while wielding a heat-based weapon.
  • Fixed crash that could occur when hosting a play session migrates to another player.
  • Fixed crash that could occur if too many civilians spawn.
  • Fixed various other crashes that could occur when deploying to mission.
  • Fixed various other crashes that could occur during gameplay.
Other Fixes
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in different damage being dealt enemies between PC and console players.
  • Red boxes in defense missions are no longer visible.
  • Major orders should now properly display text.

These are issues that were either introduced by this patch and are being worked on, or are from a previous version and have not yet been fixed. This list is not exhaustive, and we are continuing to identify issues and create fixes. These are organized by feedback, reports, severity, etc.
  • Superior Packing Methodology ship module does not work properly.
  • Players may be unable to navigate to the search results in the Social Menu.
  • Various issues involving friend invites and cross-play:
    • Player name may show up blank on the other player's friend list.
    • Friend Request cannot be accepted when the requesting player changed their username before the request was accepted.
    • Cross-platform friend invites might not show up in the Friend Requests tab.
    • Players cannot unfriend players befriended via friend code.
    • Players cannot unblock players that were not in their Friends list beforehand.
  • Damage-over-time effects may only apply when dealt by the host.
  • Players may experience delays in Medals and Super Credits payouts.
  • Enemies that bleed out do not progress Personal Orders and Eradicate missions.
  • Certain weapons like Sickle cannot shoot through foliage.
  • Scopes on some weapons such as the Anti-Materiel Rifle are slightly misaligned.
  • Arc weapons sometimes behave inconsistently and sometimes misfire.
  • Spear’s targeting is inconsistent, making it hard to lock-on to larger enemies.
  • Stratagem beam might attach itself to an enemy but it will deploy to its original location.
  • Explosions do not break your limbs (except for when you fly into a rock).
  • Area around Automaton Detector Tower makes blue stratagems such as the Hellbomb bounce and be repelled when trying to call them down close to the tower.
  • Planet liberation reaches 100% at the end of every Defend mission.

AEW News: Tony Schiavone Reveals Reaction To AEW All In Footage

AEW News: Tony Khan recently broadcast the footage of CM Punk and Jack Perry from the All In event last year, and Tony Schiavone has revealed why he reacted the way he did when the footage was shown on AEW Dynamite.

Speaking on his What Happened When Podcast, Schiavone revealed that his on-screen reaction, that of clear disgust, was not to do with the footage being shown, but his trying to play into the storyline implications.

“My facial reaction is trying to put more heat on the Bucks being a**holes (in storyline)…I was not upset at the promotion, I was not upset at Tony Khan” he revealed (via SEScoops).

“So I was not p***ed off with what we had shown. I was trying to be fully in the moment of the angle.”

AEW News: Tony Schiavone Reveals Genuine Reaction to CM Punk Footage

Schiavone would also rip into ‘fans’ online who compare AEW to WCW, saying that “social media is about idiots coming together and making up their own ideas.

AEW News: Major Update on MJF’s Current Status

AEW News: MJF has been off of All Elite Wrestling programming for some time, and a new report confirms his latest status.

According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Maxwell Jacob Friedman is “still working to recover from his multiple injuries.”

Johnson also confirmed the following: “While he is not listed on the AEW roster, the belief is he remains locked into a deal with the company.

“While he was not in attendance at AEW Big Business in Boston a few weeks back, PWInsider.com has confirmed that the day after that event, MJF was in Boston to meet with AEW officials.”

AEW News: Latest on MJF

Intriguing, PWInsider also noted that MJF has not been backstage at any AEW events since exiting storylines. 

Whilst we do not currently know how long it will be before the former AEW Champion will return, it is very unlikely that he will be heading to WWE…as some rumors have claimed.

Storylines involving the outspoken character have usually remained under wraps to surprise the audience when things occur, so hopefully we’ll get shocked again in the very near future.

Valve Restricts Sharing of Adult Games to Steam Step-Family

BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON – Valve announced a new policy today restricting the sharing of adult games on Steam to members of a user’s step-family, oddly aroused sources confirmed.

Gabe Newell, Valve co-founder, said the new policy was based on trying to create the perfect gaming fantasy.

“We’ve all been there, right? You’re just minding your own business, playing some steamy visual novels, when suddenly your step-sibling walks in on you but they actually want to join. That’s what this update is for,” he said.

The rule update, which requires users to verify their step-family status through a rigorous process involving DNA tests or just saying the word “step-bro” one time, has been met with a mix of praise and criticism.

“I don’t think my step mom wants to play with me to be honest,” one Steam stepson said. “But even if she did she’s always busy getting stuck in the washing machine.”

Valve’s legal team has been working overtime to address any potential issues with the policy, such as the risk of users exploiting the system by pretending to be step-siblings when they aren’t – or even worse – pretending to be actual siblings.

At press time the Epic Games store has announced they’ll go one step further and allow users to swap games with a friend’s step family.

RimWorld Fan Meetup Obvious Front for Organ Harvesting Scheme

DETROIT – A RimWorld fan meetup last week has been reportedly revealed as a thinly-veiled organ harvesting operation, surprisingly pretty relaxed attendees confirmed.

“Yeah, I mean, I kind of expected this,” said meetup participant and newly minted organ donor Louis Salim, casually adjusting his mechanical ventilator. “It’s RimWorld, after all. I’m just glad they used a proper medical bed and not some shoddy sleeping spot on the ground.”

The meetup, which began at a suspiciously-themed back alley bar called “Thrumbo’s Horn,” quickly devolved into a full-blown organ harvesting frenzy, sources confirmed. Attendees report being plied with RimWorld-inspired drinks like “Luciferium” and “Mindscrew” before waking up several hours later, missing various vital organs.

“I had a feeling something was up when the guy next to me kept asking about my kidney health,” admitted another participant, who asked to remain anonymous and was found in a McDonald’s dumpster. “But hey, at least they didn’t harvest my heart. I’m saving that for a special someone, you know?”

Authorities say they’ve attempted to partner with local gaming stores to track new buyers of the game, but mostly remain at a loss of how to deal with RimWorld-obsessed organ traffickers.

“Every time a new expansion comes out, these reports pop up like clockwork,” said Detective van Boldt of the Detroit Police Department. “We basically just let it run its course unless we see too many human leather hats being flaunted in public.”

As for the RimWorld fan community, they remain unfazed by the recent events.

“Honestly, this just adds to the immersion,” said one fan, proudly displaying a poorly healed surgery scar.

At press time, the city of Detroit was bracing itself for the recent release of RimWorld – Anomaly, with the DPD preparing for an influx of reports involving eldritch abominations and pulsating obelisks in the downtown area.

Grounded Switch Release Date, Time

Grounded released exclusively on Xbox consoles and PC, and the game has a very stable playerbase on both platforms. Unsurprisingly, Grounded, by developers Obsidian Entertainment, is among four games that have been selected by Microsoft to end their platform exclusivity, with the announcement of its impending release on rival Nintendo’s Switch console.

Man Can Hardly See Perfectly Organized Factorio Base Over Gigantic Pile of Shit on Desk

BOSTON – Gamer Michael Thompson, 27-years-old and surrounded by his own filth, has perfectly organized the ultimate mining and manufacturing base in Factorio, equally impressed and concerned sources confirm.

Thompson’s Factorio base, a sprawling industrial complex, is reportedly a marvel of organization and optimization that perfectly mines and manufactures all the necessary potions and components to create massive amounts of plastic, modules, and all of the game’s most advanced items. Also, it can hardly be seen over the massive pile of shit on his desk.

“In the game, he’s this genius problem solver and engineer, crafting delicate processes and multitasking perfectly,” said Thompson’s roommate, Alex Chen, 28. “In real life I can’t get him to process the notion of buying a little trashcan for his room, he just throws trash over his shoulder and keeps playing.”

Thompson’s mother, Janet, 62, expressed concern over her son’s living conditions after a recent video call.

“He started with his camera off and I had to beg him to turn it on,” she said of the call. “I couldn’t even see his face over the junk and I just kept hearing ‘click click click.’ I think he was still playing. I pray for my little Michael every day.”

Thompson remains unfazed by criticism and shrugged off the concerns of friends and family.

“A lot of the greats had cluttered desks. It’s all about priorities,” he said, delicately balancing an empty-ish Gatorade bottle on top of a tower of old Doordash orders. “I’ll get around to it eventually.”

Experts suggest that Thompson’s behavior is not uncommon among dedicated gamers.

“Oh yeah we see this alot in young gamers, but sometimes it goes the other way,” said Dr. Emily Nguyen, a psychologist specializing in gaming addiction. “I once treated a boy who had hundreds of speeding tickets and even a vehicular manslaughter charge. When he played GTA he stopped at every red light. Scary kid.”

At press time, Thompson was seen ignoring an army of ants attacking his desk in favor of defending his Factorio base from a wave of biters.

Helldivers 2 Pickup Freeze Bug Reason

If you’ve been running around farming resources left and right, then you have undoubtedly spammed the gather button when you see two or more items in close proximity. And that is exactly when things go wrong, since attempting to pick up a second item immediately after the first is what causes the freeze.

Speculation is that, since Helldivers 2 is an online-only, Games-as-a-service (GaaS) title, every action involving currency collection is closely monitored server-side in order to prevent exploits and cheating. With each pickup action being communicated back to the server, and server connectivity issues already being as they are, a freeze occurs when that data can’t be transmitted properly. This is especially true for Warbond Medals and Super Credits, both of which are accrued directly into your account on recovery. Even if you were to crash out of the game at some point, or simply abandon the mission, all your collected Medals and Super Credits thus far would still be available.

If you’ve already been frozen in place by the bug, and came looking for this guide, here are some things to attempt to unfreeze yourself:

  • First, try waiting for up to three minutes for the server to catch up to you. This has been the maximum length of time that players have experienced being frozen in place, before the game acknowledged the pickup properly.
  • Your mileage may vary with this one, but saluting has worked for some players to snap your Helldiver back to reality.
  • Failing that, cook off a grenade while holding it in hand. Yes, it is in fact possible to do that. This will effectively kill you, and force a new drop nearby, thus unfreezing you.
  • You can avoid having to respawn if you’re in a squad by simply asking one of your squadmates to melee you out of the frozen bug.

Here are some tips to avoid the freezing bug entirely.

Slow down a little while gathering. The issue most often happens immediately after spam-looting a downed pod or a container with multiple pickups that you couldn’t see until after it was cracked open. Wait a beat, for the loot to appear and then pick it up one by one.

If in doubt about exactly how long to wait, make note of the animations: your Helldiver will put their hands back down after completing the loot action. It is after that point, that you will want to loot again.

Helldivers 2 has deployed its first mech or Exosuit, and some players are having some difficulty with the requirements for using the Stratagem. This Helldivers 2 guide has everything you need to know about unlocking the Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit, as well as acquiring one in the wild.

Helldivers 2 Unlock Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit

The Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit is the priciest of all Stratagems thus far, and requires 20K Requisition Slips. Additionally, your Helldiver must be at least Level 25. It is buried at the very bottom of the list in:

  • Ship Management
    • Stratagems
      • Engineering Bay
        • Robotics Workshop

Once unlocked, the Exosuit will offer you:

  • Call-in Time: 0 sec
  • Uses: 2
  • Cooldown Time: 600 sec (10 minutes)

Helldivers 2 Use Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit

Be sure to add the Stratagem to your loadout before deploying to the surface.

The dropship that delivers it can and will fire upon any enemies encroaching on the dropzone, so use that to your advantage in a pinch.

Once deployed, the Patriot Exosuit must be mounted from the rear hatch.

Ammunition is in limited supply, with 14 rockets on the left missile pod, and a thousand minigun rounds on the right.

Use of a deployed Patriot Exosuit is not locked to a single Helldiver, so you can call one in for your squadmates while you continue on foot. It is a good strategy to exclusively designate one squadmate as the squad’s Exosuit pilot, and have the remainder call in their Exosuits in succession, for that player to use.

If you have a Guard Dog Rover deployed as well, it will leap up onto the Exosuit’s pilot pod, but will not engage the enemy as long as you are piloting the mech.

The Shield Generator Pack Stratagem works from within the Exosuit as well, but only as far as the bubble itself extends around your Helldiver.

Helldivers 2 Free Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit

While it is necessary to be Level 25 in order to unlock the Patriot Exosuit, you don’t have to be that level to simply pilot one. Aside from riding an Exosuit deployed by your squadmates, you can also find free Exo-45 Patriot Exosuits in the wild in certain locations.

Terminid planets tend to not have any bonus Exosuit spawns, but Automaton planets will. These will mostly be at Places of Interest, and often near factories.

Found Exosuits have the same stats and supplies as deployed mechs. There is no cooldown time after losing a wild Exosuit, so you can call in one of your own Stratagems immediately after, and continue stomping around the battlefield.
