Helldivers 2 Major Order Activate Terminid Control System Mar 12

Here’s an explanation of how the current Helldivers 2 Major Order functions and what is expected of properly democratic Helldivers

Super Earth commands it, and it shall be done! The latest Major Order has you and your fellow Helldivers tackling Terminids with the intent of total annihilation. This Helldivers 2 Major Order guide is all about the Activate Terminid Control System Mission, and what you can hope to achieve.

Helldivers 2 Major Order Activate Terminid Control System Objectives And Background

As always, the Major Order hinges upon completion of a specific mission objective, which in this case is activating Termicide Dispersion Towers in the Activate Terminid Control System mission type. The action takes place in the Umlaut Sector across the face of four planets:

  • Erata Prime: Sandy, Intense Heat, Tremors
  • Fenrir III: Moor, Extreme Cold, Meteor Storms
  • Meridia: Primordial, Rainstorms, Volcanic Activity
  • Turing: Primordial

In hindsight, the use of Umlaut Sector in this week’s Major Order probably explains why the community was finding it impossible to liberate its planets just last week, with what seemed like impossibly high regeneration rates on the Terminids. The Helldivers have 7 days to complete this objective as a united front, until Mar 19.

Helldivers 2 Major Order Activate Terminid Control System Tips And Tactics

The mission will hold your hand for the most part, but bring your best bug-squishing Stratagems and tactics, because you’ll be up against swarms of them.

Yellow buttons galore in this mission, so take that as your visual cue when activating both the Termicide Tower and the three Battery Silos.

Think of this operation as a tower defense game, and prepare to deal with swarm enemy patterns.

You’ll be standing your ground defensively for the most part, so bring turrets and sentries to catch bugs in the crossfire.

The Orbital Gas Strike Stratagem is invaluable in bug swarm clearing. EMS is another fine solution.

Avoid using explosive type weapons and Stratagems in direct vicinity of the silos as that may lead to them resetting their progress.

This week’s patch revealed that the EAT-17 Expendable Anti-Tank and the Recoilless Rifle both penetrate armor much more effectively than believed, by way of an undocumented buff from the previous patch. Use this knowledge to your advantage when contending with Chargers and Bile Titans.

Speaking of Chargers, the new patch also weakened them in the head, negating the necessity of the “leg meta” to put them down. Instead, aim for the head with your best armor penetration weaponry. Note that the leg strat has not been debuffed in any way, but merely made redundant.

Remember that this is a community mission, so your squad’s and your own efforts only add to the entirety of the Helldivers’ concerted push to wrest control of the sector.

Wiping the Terminid menace out will net every individual Helldiver a reward of 50 Warbond Medals, but only for actively participating in the war effort on each of the four planets.
