TerraTech Worlds Update Patch Notes Mar 27

 

Hi everyone - as promised, the larger update that we mentioned is now live. We do have further updates planned for TerraTech Worlds, including further game balancing and bug fixes, and we’ll share more on those ideally this week.
Before getting into this, we do just want to say thank you for the positivity and support sent our way after Monday’s update. We really appreciate you sticking with us, and we hope that pays off as we continue our Early Access journey together.
Now, about this update…

 

Resource Harvesting

  • Reduced health for trees, boulders, Hematite, and Cuprite
  • Boulders now only yield Debris.
  • Added Quartz (Silicon, Gold) to all forest areas, not just the blue forest as before (this change will re-add all resource givers across the planet in ongoing saves, meaning previously harvested resources will be back again).
  • Halite is less scattered throughout the coastline, but abundant near Lightning Trees.
  • Decreased the power consumption for the Resource Laser from 10 units of power per second to 6.5 so it can be fired for longer
  • Reduced the amount of heat generated by the Resource Laser to make it harder for players to overheat when using them. They were generating 0.5 degrees per second when fired, they now generate 0.2 degrees per second when fired.
  • Sped up processing times for the Fragmenter
  • Increased the resource yield for the Fragmenter

 

Cost reductions

  • Carbon now burns in Carbon Generators for 1 min (up from 20 seconds), Refined Carbon burns for 5 mins, Pure Carbon burns for 30 mins.
  • Cost to craft Heavy Ammo reduced from 1 Refined Iron + Refined Copper to 2 Iron + 2 Copper
  • Cost to craft Plasma Ammo reduced from 1 Refined Aluminium + 1 Refined Copper to 1 Refined Aluminium + 2 Copper
  • Reduced the crafting time for all ammo and consumables
    • Light Ammo 3 seconds
    • Heavy Ammo 5 seconds
    • Plasma Ammo 8 seconds
    • Grenade Ammo 10 seconds
    • Missile Ammo 15 seconds
    • Rocket Fuel 5 seconds
    • Heater Fuel 5 seconds
    • Wash Solution 5 seconds
  • Increased Light Ammo drops from enemies from 0-30 to 0-100
  • Decreased the recipe costs for the Block Fabricator so it now costs 5 Refined Aluminium and 5 Refined Copper to craft
  • Decreased the amount of Refined Aluminium needed to craft the Heavy Hauler Cab from 40 to 30

 

Enemy Block drop rates

  • Increased block drop chance from all enemies.

 

Storage

  • Increased the default Tech Yard block storage amount to 200, up from 100.
  • Tech Yard Storage expansions also offer 200 increased block storage, up from 50.

 

Larger Tech builds

  • Cab Reactor Capacities and Efficiencies have been increased across the board, significantly more so for later-game cabs:
    • Scout Cab - Reactor Capacity: 100 -> 125, Cab Efficiency: 80 -> 100, Total: 180 -> 225
    • Navigator Cab - Reactor Capacity: 100 -> 125, Cab Efficiency: 100 -> 125, Total: 200 -> 250
    • Engineer Cab - Reactor Capacity: 100 -> 140, Cab Efficiency: 160 -> 220, Total: 260 -> 360
    • Centurion Cab - Reactor Capacity: 120 -> 180, Efficiency: 140 -> 220, Total: 360 -> 400
    • C.R.A.B. XL Cab - Reactor Capacity: 160 -> 260, Cab Efficiency: 40 -> 140, Total: 200 -> 400
    • Heavy Hauler Cab - Reactor Capacity: 180 -> 320, Cab Efficiency: 20 -> 80, Total: 200 -> 400
    • Harvester Cab - Reactor Capacity: 150 -> 280, Cab Efficiency: 50 -> 120, Total: 200 -> 400
  • Modified built-in cab cargo sizes across all cabs. Some are the same, some have had their cargo sizes increased. The distribution is now as follows:
    • 8x3 for the Scout
    • 8x4 for the Navigator, Centurion, C.R.A.B. XL, Engineer
    • 8x5 for the Heavy Hauler and the Harvester

 

Camera

  • Reduced the default camera height from 550 down to 300
  • Allowed players to lower the camera focus with a slider
    • The new default behaviour is to adjust the camera height value automatically as you zoom in and out, to keep your Tech in the frame. There is a tick box in the options to turn this behaviour off, in which case you get a camera height slider to raise or lower it to your preference.

 

Onboarding

  • Moved the objective to craft a block fabricator from the base objectives track to the certification one and added an objective that asks players to claim a reward to ensure players know how to claim rewards and have claimed the block licence for the small cargo
    • These both auto-complete if they have already been done

 

Stability

  • Fixed various crashes reported to the crash reporter
  • A warning now displays if Steam libraries have become corrupt
  • Enabled crash reports for dedicated servers
  • Users are now notified if they’re kicked from a session, rather than just seeing ‘Connection Lost’
  • Prevented crashes caused by a discrepancy between client and server transforms when techs desync
  • Fixed some blocky shorelines
[*] A message is now shown to the player and a forced exit given if if their CPU does not support required AVX instructions

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the host's input to become unresponsive after interacting with an Emergecny Effigy while a coop partner triggered a cinematic.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Blessed Reflections spell to work properly for an invader in Crimson Rituals.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Infernal Hounds spell to work properly for an invader in Crimson Rituals.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Seared Soul spell to work properly for an invader in Crimson Rituals.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed invaders to deal wither damage to the host immediately after transitioning to Umbral.

 

UI

  • Fixed an issue in the character creator that wrongly stated Face Texture instead of Fine Tuning.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Umbral Distortion effects to get reactivated unexpectedly.
  • Fixed an issue that caused certain menu items to get highlighted wrongly when using a mouse.
  • Fixed an issue with Tincts that allowed players to use the "Apply to all" function even when no Tinct was selected.

 

Visuals

  • Fixed an issue that caused Umbral objects to load in visibly while traversing through Forsaken Fen.

Other

  • Balancing pass to auto-adjust values for Crimson Rituals once a matchup has started. This change will balance out stats of characters of different power levels to create a fairer PVP experience.
  • Added a missing hazard volume to the small lava pool in front of the Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a prolonged hitch to appear after siphoning an Umbral Parasite in the boss encounter with Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho.

We've been working hard to roll this patch before the Easter Holidays so y'all can enjoy an improved mech farming experience over the long weekend ahead! Hold on to your visor, folks, we squashed a lot of bugs in this one!

 

Lightyear Frontier Update Patch Notes v0.1.407.0 Apr 15

 

Changes

  • Using the "Help I'm stuck" option inside the Vault will now take you out of the Vault, and reset the Vault progress
  • Added a failsafe to grant player the Vault reward if they somehow managed to finish the Vault and get out without picking it up
  • Tweaked Hydro Splash size to work more as intended
  • Increased maximum field of view to 150
  • Decreased minimum field of view to 60
  • Removed “Clam Filtering” request from Ulf
  • Minor update to photo mode HUD layout to accommodate for longer and bigger prompt texts

SPACE STATIONS

  • Space stations have been completely overhauled and refreshed.
  • Station exteriors now come in a huge array of procedurally generated shapes and colours, as well as at an increased scale.
  • Space station interiors are now procedurally generated.
  • Space station interiors now have a huge amount of lighting and visual variation.
  • Station interior designs now reflect the race of the local system authorities.
  • The various key space station merchants and interactions have all been visually refreshed.
  • Players can now use the Quick Menu to switch their docked ship while aboard the space station, providing the ship in question has functioning launch thrusters.

 

SCREEN SPACE REFLECTIONS

  • Introduced a number of optimisations and visual improvements to screen space reflection rendering.
  • Reflection rendering has been revised to reduce noise and make the effect more stable.
  • The lighting model for reflections has been improved to achieve a more realistic, physically based look.

 

FLEET MISSIONS

  • While away on expeditions, frigates may now call home via the starship communicator or the fleet command terminal on your freighter.
  • The fleet commander may seek your advice in dealing with a tricky situation, or may even request direct assistance.
  • Your decisions at these moments, or your efforts in coming to the aid of your fleet, have a direct impact on the outcome and rewards for your fleet missions.
  • Fixed a number of text issues when using the captain’s terminal on a frigate.
  • The player’s torch is no longer auto-activated when boarding a frigate.
  • The frigate teleporter can no longer be triggered while the frigate is away on a mission.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause asteroid flickering when warping to a system that contains a frigate fleet.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented outlaw frigates that are not away on a mission from being warped in to defend the player when under attack by hostile starships.
  • Nearby fleets will now always deploy fighters to assist the player in combat, even if they are on a mission.
  • When landing on an outlaw frigate, the captain will now greet you with an appropriate message.

 

STARSHIP CUSTOMISATION

  • A new interaction, the Starship Fabricator, has been added to the space station.
  • The fabricator allows you to build your own custom fighter, hauler or explorer starship.
  • When salvaging a ship, the process can now be targeted at specific visuals, e.g. reclaiming the wings or thruster array specifically. These harvested components can then be combined to create a brand-new ship.
  • Purchase starship reactors from space station technology merchants to determine the stats and class of your new starship.
  • The fabricator also allows you to choose unique colour and paint styles for your new ship.
  • Starships salvaged from the wild or purchased from another pilot benefit from universal authentication, granting them a bonus to future trade-in values.

 

USER INTERFACE

  • The splash screen and mode select screens have been visually overhauled.
  • The options screens have been tweaked for visual clarity.
  • The in-game patch notes have had a visual upgrade.
  • Purchase and decline buttons in various UI pages have been re-styled.
  • The compare and purchase screens have been tweaked for clarity.
  • When using “Transfer More” to add items to a slot, the popup will now only show valid items.
  • When a mission location is marked, the icon will now briefly start in the centre of the screen before moving to its usual position, making it easier to track off-screen locations.
  • Fixed an issue that added an additional delay to the creation of markers for mission events.

 

TRADING, REPUTATION AND GUILDS

  • Space station technology merchants now have a wider range of upgrades, with more high quality modules available.
  • Space station technology merchants now offer a price discount based on your standing with their faction.
  • The starship Economy Scanner can now be activated from the ship’s inventory as well as from the quick menu.
  • The Economy Scanner can now detect nearby trade surges, in addition to detecting planetary outposts.
  • Trade surges are time-limited events in nearby systems that offer an increased profit margin on key goods. Find a source of the required trade items to take advantage of these surges.
  • A system’s economy description on the galaxy map now uses a consistent label to describe the goods they buy and sell.
  • The guild envoys for the Merchants, Mercenaries and Explorers Guilds now offer a wide selection of items to their members.
  • Find guild envoys aboard space stations.
  • Each envoy offers a range of free supplies and heavily discounted items, with eligibility based on your current standing with their guild. The exact items vary from system to system but are tailored to each specific guild.
  • Envoys will also accept donations to guild supplies, in exchange for increasing your standing with their guild.
  • Vanquished pirate starships now yield Pirate Transponders, which can be donated to the Mercenaries Guild for a boost to standing.
  • The clarity and presentation of the buttons to view journey milestones and faction standing within the catalogue have been improved.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the catalogue system standing button to lead to the wrong page.
  • A number of new alien words have been added, ready to learn and translate.
  • The trade terminal found on space stations now has a clearer name and subtitle.

 

BASE PARTS

  • A large number of new base parts have been added, based on the decoration style of the space station.
  • Research these parts with salvaged data at the construction research terminal on the Space Anomaly.

 

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue that caused some shuttle wings to be misaligned.
  • Fixed a number of visual issues with the hologram at the Multi-Tool salvage terminal.
  • Fixed an issue that caused starship icons to be used on the Multi-Tool salvage terminal.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause doors to open too slowly, leading to a collision event between the door user and the door structure.
  • Fixed a number of visual issues that could occur when attaching Autophage heads to other bodies in the customiser.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause some planetary crops to flicker.
  • Fixed a number of memory leaks related to texture generation and streaming.
  • Fixed a memory trample related to holograms.

FBI Announces They Have Sufficient Evidence to Hire P Diddy as Nickelodeon Showrunner

LOS ANGELES — After carrying out a search warrant of his Los Angeles mansion over sex trafficking charges, the FBI announced they have enough evidence to hire Sean “Diddy” Combs as a Nickelodeon Showrunner

Special Agent Dan Wexler held a press conference after the raid and detailed the shocking revelations.

“While executing the search warrant against Mr. Comb’s home, we found what we believed to be sufficient evidence of his qualification to be in charge of children’s programming at Nickelodeon,” said Wexler. “What we saw inside that house was a level of depravity that made me question my faith and the overall purpose of life. Based on what we found, he may be one of the most qualified people to put in a position of power at Nickelodeon.”

Shelley Persaud, a representative of Nickelodeon confirmed that Diddy has already accepted a job at the studio.

“He definitely has some big shoes to fill, but given his vast prior experience, I think he will adapt well to the role. With the lack of accountability for predators in this industry, there are so many people still here from the last rounds of incidents that will help show him the ropes, if he needs it,” said Persaud.

Persaud couldn’t say the exact show that Diddy will work on but did offer some details.

“I can’t say much but I can tell you that kids who have no idea the subtext or double meaning of what’s going on are going to love it. And when they grow up they’re going to love rewatching it to discover how weird and gross it all was to be in a kids’ show. They’re going to need to watch so many TikToks of Steve from Blue’s Clues after this one.”

At press time, Nickelodeon announced there is currently a bidding war on the documentary that will be made about the show Diddy is put in charge of.

Coming in hot for all platforms, this hotfix aims to continue improving your Baldur’s Gate 3 experience, and addresses several crashes and bugs. The tradespeople of Baldur’s Gate have also had a word with our people, and we both agree that container-based antics, while amusing, are damaging the economy. So in this update we’ve fixed several bugs with buying and selling. No more free lunches!

  • Fixed a bug letting you 'buy' a stack of items for free when dragging the stack into a container and using the item splitter.
  • Fixed equipped items blocked by shapeshifting being tradable, allowing you to get paid even if the items don't transfer to the trader's inventory.

  • Fixed clubs from the Moonrise Towers Prison getting automatically equipped when you picked them up.
  • Fixed a bug causing Nightsong to continuously gain and lose the Soul Caged condition if she had a condition that provided Immunity to being Incapacitated.
  • Fixed Balthazar not finishing his turn when he is too far from the Colony ritual spot to reach it in one turn.
  • Fixed a bug where a civilian would call for help and a group of Flaming Fists would appear, but instead of moving to the crime scene, they would just stand where they were spawned.

South Park Shows Commitment to Centrism With 5/10 Game

LOS ANGELES — The new South Park game Snow Day offers fans an accurate embodiment of the series’s famed social commentary skewering both sides of every issue by being a solid five out of ten. 

South Park co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have praised the game for its commitment to their centrism.

“It took a long time, but we finally perfected the formula. We started out with horrible video games, like the ones on the Nintendo 64. Total garbage. Then we had some really good games with The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole,” explained South Park co-creator Matt Stone

“Yes, but when you think about it, aren’t good games just as bad as bad games?” added fellow co-creator Trey Parker. “I mean, sure, bad games are bad, but good games … they’re just so smug and annoying about how good they are! ‘Oh, look at me! I’m a good game! I’m fun to play! I’m so much better than you!’” he said, shifting into the whiny voice he uses to impersonate every celebrity he doesn’t like.

“Yeah, I hate bad games, but I really fucking hate good games,” agreed Stone. “We wanted to make sure we really got the South Park experience right this time. We’ve always believed in making fun of everybody, so this game needed to be middle of the road, dead center. Not fully committing to being bad and not fully committing to being good. That’s what South Park is all about.”

Fans of the show like Jordan Daniels are happy to see the new game remain faithful to the show.

“The last two games were excellent but they were made years ago. It’s nice to see that this new one is just kind of whatever because that’s such a great way to remain faithful to the current era of the show.”
