CoD MW2 & Warzone 2: Double XP Weekend Dates & Schedule

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 regularly feature Double XP events. These events reward players with double Weapon, Clan, Battle Pass, and Player Level XP for their entire duration. Here is everything to know about the next CoD Double XP weekend dates in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.

Next CoD Double XP Event Dates in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0

Dates for upcoming Call of Duty Double XP Weekend Dates.

Double XP & Double Weapon XP is going to be live on March 16-20 for PlayStation players, and March 17-20 for all other platforms in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2!  You can keep an eye on the Raven Software Trello board, where the dev team will post upcoming & current events, including Double XP weekends.

It is important to note that CoD Double XP weekend dates start a day earlier on PlayStation, meaning PlayStation players start earning 2XP one day ahead of the announced launch. Based on past events, Raven Software tends to follow a schedule for when they release these Double XP weeks/weekends. Normally, a Double XP event is run concurrently in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 every four to six weeks; however, some random Double XP events can pop up as part of a celebration or ahead of an announcement as a way to build hype.

Either way, players typically never have to wait more than six weeks for a new Double XP event. As the most recent Double XP event is underway, no official date has been announced for the next event, but be sure to check back as we will be updating this article regularly when announcements are made!

How to Earn Double XP Outside of Double XP Events

Double XP events are not the only time that players can earn Double XP. You can earn Double XP tokens in game through Battle Pass progression, as well as, by purchasing marked promotional items like Mountain Dew or Jack Link’s Beef Jerky. These tokens are time limited, usually lasting between 15 minutes and 1 hour. Keep in mind that the timer is not based on match time, but rather begins counting down as soon as you activate it, regardless if you are in a match or not. Time spent in pre-game lobbies and in the menu count toward this timer, too.

Overwatch 2 Competitive Points Guide: How to Earn Them

Overwatch 2 features a number of different currencies to be earned or purchased in game. These currencies also have a bunch of different uses like buying items from the in-game store or purchasing Golden Guns for your Heroes. Here is how to unlock Competitive Points in Overwatch 2

How to Earn Competitive Points in Overwatch 2

How to earn Overwatch 2 Competitive Points.

Competitive Points unlock in two different ways. First, you can earn them by playing competitive matches. You’ll be rewarded with 15 points for a win, 5 points for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. Not much in the grand scheme; however, if you play Competitive regularly, they will add up. The more lucrative, but slower, way to earn Competitive Points is by completing Competitive Challenges.

Each season there are a set of these Competitive Challenges, which reward you for your peak rank at the end of the season. The higher your rank the more Competitive Points you’ll unlock; however, you won’t earn additional Competitive Points from the rank(s) below your peak. So, if you finish the season with a peak rank of Platinum, you’ll only unlock the Competitive Points reward for ranking Platinum and not the rewards for placing Gold, Silver, or Bronze. Below is a breakdown of the amount of Competitive Points awarded for each rank.

  • Season End: Bronze awards 65 Competitive Points
  • Season End: Silver awards 125 Competitive Points
  • Season End: Gold awards 250 Competitive Points
  • Season End: Platinum awards 500 Competitive Points
  • Season End: Diamond awards 750 Competitive Points and the Diamond Challenger Player Title
  • Season End: Master awards 1,200 Competitive Points and the Master Challenger Player Title
  • Season End: Grandmaster awards 1,750 Competitive Points and the Grandmaster Challenger Player Title
  • Season End: Top 500 awards 1,750 Competitive Points and the Top 500 Challenger Player Title

As you can clearly see, this is a slow process, so don’t expect to be unlocking loads of Competitive Points regularly. Competitive Points can be used to purchase Golden Guns for your favorite Heroes. Since this is a slow process, be sure to focus on unlocking Golden Guns for your top played Heroes before unlocking them for anyone else.

GTA Online Gooch Mask Guide: How to Get the Gooch Mask

The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto Online 2022 Winter update has officially launched across all the platforms. One of the most notable additions of the Winter update is The Gooch, a nefarious opportunist who is now roaming around the streets and lurking in the shadows. The monster is a threat to the LA citizens, and the game requires you to beat him in order to grab his spooky mask. If you want to get this holiday-themed mask for your Grand Theft Auto 5 protagonist, then here’s all you need to know about grabbing the Gooch mask in GTA Online.

GTA Online – How To Get The Gooch Mask

Gooch is an NPC in GTA online who attacks players in the middle of the session. So, the only way to obtain his mask is by defeating him in GTA Online

Here are the steps that you need to follow in order to get the Gooch Mask in GTA Online:

  1. Hop into a GTA Online session with at least one more player.
  2. Wait for at least 45 minutes for the Gooch to spawn in the world.
  3. Once the NPC spawns, he will attack you and run away.
  4. At this point, chase the NPC down and kill him.
  5. Finally, get his mask from his body.

Apart from the mask, you’ll be rewarded with $25,000 in-game cash that you can use to purchase the new M29 pistol and other items.

As one might notice, the event is similar to the Mugger that can be sent after other players in the session by calling Lamar. The only difference is that this event is completely random, and the game will decide who to rob.

Finally, it’s worth noting that Gooch randomly spawns across the map. So there’s no guaranteed location where you can always find this monster and grab plenty of cash and his mask.

Weird West to Receive Wild, Wild DLC

PERTH, Australia — WolfEye Studios announced that its 2022 game Weird West will be receiving downloadable content centered on the 1998 Will Smith Vehicle Wild Wild West, sources have confirmed.

“Fuck it man, everything is everything,” said Raphaël Colantonio, director of Weird West. “We had a lot of fun with supernatural and terrifying forces in the base game, but there was a certain flair that was missing. We think the Wild Wild Weird West DLC is going to be exciting for both fans of the game, and fans of the frankly underrated Will Smith/Selma Hayek film from the ’90s.”

“I mean, it’s not the best movie,” he added. “But it’s kinda fun.”

Fans of Weird West said it wasn’t a crossover they’d anticipated, but were eagerly anticipating it nonetheless.

“I don’t even know if I saw the movie, but that song is fun, do they play the song?” asked Frank Booker, a gamer that enjoyed Weird West’s blend of action and role playing. “I’ll check it out to see if there’s the song, the giant metal spider, and/or Kevin Kline. Any of those things would make any video game better, obviously.”

Despite being a small indie title, actor Will Smith joined the team to record some lines of dialogue.

“I really hope this DLC for Weird West is a huge hit, because I said no to a pretty big role in an upcoming Matrix video game to do it,” Smith said. “I’m guessing it will work out, though!”

As of press time, WolfEye Studios had also announced an expansion that focused on the politics of the era, titled The Weird West Wing

Hey! This is sponsored by Devolver Digital, and while Will Smith won’t be involved in any Weird West DLC anytime soon (well, as far as WE know), you should definitely still check out Weird West — one of the best indie games of 2022!

Depressed Gamer Thinks All Mountain Dew Flavors Taste the Same

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Local gamer Steven Swanton has fallen into a deep depression that ruined his ability to tell Mountain Dew flavors apart.

“Things just haven’t felt right in a long time,” muttered Swanton, getting what few nutrients he could from the bottle of regular Mountain Dew he was pouring down his throat. “Found a goddamn nail in my car tire, my job doesn’t feel like it’s getting me anywhere, and Sonic Frontiers sucked way more than I thought it would. I used to get excited when I heard about stuff like the mystery-flavored Halloween version of Dew. Now I really don’t even care what kind of Dew I do, I just need the caffeine to get me through things.”

“I can’t tell Code Red from LiveWire, Diet Dew from Cane Sugar, Voltage from Spark,” he said, his head in his sticky hands. “Not once did I go to KFC to get the peach-flavored Sweet Lightning only they have, or the plum-berry-flavored Circle K-exclusive Purple Thunder, or Taco Bell’s Baja Blast; like, why bother at this point? Hopefully working with my doc will help me get back to enjoying the acidic beverage I fell in love with oh so long ago.”

“The Mtn Dew Baja Blues,” as gamer-centric therapist Dr. Beth Blowfeld calls it, is a very common occurrence.

“It takes a very bad depressive episode to cause a true gamer to lose their taste for the sour and sweet goodness of a fresh can of Dew,“ Blowfeld explained, lounging in an LED-lit gaming chair. “Luckily a few colleagues and I have been working on a treatment plan for just this kind of case. Along with thought exercises and a yoga regimen, I have a plan to shock Mr. Swanton’s system with daily doses of Flaming Hot Mountain Dew. We believe that the extreme and near-criminal taste may be enough to bring his lack of Mtn Dew flavor back, or he’ll die trying.”

In order to fight this growing issue, PepsiCo is reportedly working with pharmaceutical companies to create a new antidepressant called Radioactive Green Apple Wellbutrin, set to come out at local 7-Elevens in 2024.

Call of Duty MW2 Travis-Rilea Error: How to Fix Error in CoD MW2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 have been hit with another error code, Travis-Rilea. The game displays the error code Travis-Rilea when the connection between your system and Modern Warfare 2 servers fails to establish. As is tradition, the issue can occur on almost any platform, including PlayStation, Xbox, Steam (PC), and Battle.net (PC). So if you’re also one who is struggling to resolve the CoD Modern Warfare 2 Travis-Rilea error, then you should definitely follow our comprehensive guide.

How to Resolve “Travis-Rilea Error” in CoD Warzone 2 & MW2

When you encounter the “Travis-Rilea Error” right after booting up the game, there’s a good chance that the MW2 servers are experiencing technical difficulties. Therefore, you should check the server status before performing any troubleshooting steps.

If the servers are operational, then most likely, your internet connection is having difficulties communicating with CoD MW2 servers. If the issue is on your end, then we’ve got you covered with the following troubleshooting methods to get past the Travis-Rilea error:

Restart Your Router

In most cases, restarting the router or wireless modem is the first step that you should execute when you suspect your network isn’t working as it should. Restarting the WiFi router takes a few minutes. To do that, unplug your router switch and keep it unplugged for about two minutes. After that, replug the router’s switch and relaunch Modern Warfare 2.

Relaunch Battle.net Client – How to Fix Travis-Rilea Error

One of the most effective methods to fix the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 “Travis-Rilea Error” is restarting the Battle.net client. It allows the client to check for any latest updates that could be preventing you from accessing the game servers. To close the application, simply hit the cross button on the top right corner of the screen. If you’re a tech geek, then we advise using the task manager to force quit the application. Once it’s fully closed, relaunch Battle.net and see if the problem is fixed. You can replicate this by relaunching Steam as well, or restarting your whole console on Xbox & PlayStation.

Use A VPN

If your internet connection is blocking you from playing Modern Warfare 2, then there’s a good chance your connection has routing issues. In such a case, using a VPN connection is the best option to directly connect to the game servers. While there are multiple Virtual Private Network services available out there, we recommend opting for one with a trial to see whether “Travis-Rilea Error” rides off or not.

Contact Activision Support

The Call of Duty franchise has been a massive success for its developers, Activision, and they’ve set up a dedicated support team to assist users with day-to-day issues. Therefore, if the above fixes don’t fix the Modern Warfare 2 “Travis-Rilea Error”, then you should definitely reach out to the Activision support team. They can assist you better than anyone else.

Marvel Snap Token Shop Tier List: The Best Token Shop Cards

The Token Shop is a new way to earn cards in Marvel Snap. Previously, cards were unlocked in a random order from a large pool, so players had to rely on pure luck to set up specific decks. Tokens allow for more targeted unlocks. Now, players at collection level 500 will start earning Tokens, 100 at a time, as random rewards from Collector’s Caches. These are spent at the Token Shop, which has a single, rotating card on offer. This card can be “pinned”, preventing it from leaving the store if a player doesn’t have enough tokens to buy it yet. Players using the shop need to make educated decisions about which cards they’re aiming for, because after seeing a card there, it won’t rotate back in for a while. To aid in this tough decision, here’s our Marvel Snap Token Shop Tier List.

When the Shop first launched, it featured cards from Pools 3, 4, and 5. But following an update on March 21, the Pool 3 cards were separated out into a unique section, allowing players to select one for free in each Season. This Pool 3 free offering rotates as normal, but can’t be pinned. A free card is a nice bonus for new players, but each season is about a month long. Players will need to choose their free monthly card with care. Pool 4 and 5 cards still cost 3000 and 6000 tokens respectively, and their cost doesn’t automatically make them better cards.

Marvel Snap S-Tier Cards: The Best Token Shop Cards

marvel snap wong

These are cards that are effective in many decks, some of which can enable entire gameplay styles on their own. Don’t hesitate to grab these, especially if you know the deck you’d use them in.

  • Aero
  • Arnim Zola
  • Captain Marvel
  • Doctor Doom
  • Leader
  • Patriot
  • Sera
  • She-Hulk
  • Taskmaster
  • Wave
  • Wong
  • Blackhawk (Pool 4)
  • Sauron (Pool 4)
  • Shuri (Pool 4)
  • Thanos (Pool 5)

Wong greatly increases the potency of an On Reveal deck, which is very easy to build, but he becomes easier to counter as opponents build their collections. Patriot enables his own deck style of cards with no abilities, turning rocks and squirrels into deadly weapons. Leader can turn a loss into a win in a single play by duplicating the enemy’s cards on your side.

She-Hulk is very flexible. She costs less for each unspent energy last turn, allowing her to be played very early, and combo with cards like Sunspot or cost-modifiers such as Wave.

Marvel Snap Token Shop Tier List: A-Tier Cards

These cards are often the piece that can bring together a whole deck. Grab these if you have a deck that can use them.

  • Attuma
  • Brood
  • Cerebro
  • Dagger
  • Deadpool
  • Death
  • Destroyer
  • Dracula
  • Gambit
  • Ghost Rider
  • Green Goblin
  • Hela
  • Human Torch
  • Invisible Woman
  • Jane Foster Mighty Thor
  • Juggernaut
  • Lockjaw
  • Magik
  • Moon Knight
  • Mysterio
  • Mystique
  • Psylocke
  • Rescue
  • Rockslide
  • Taskmaster
  • Titania
  • Ultron
  • Venom
  • Zero
  • Black Panther (Pool 4)
  • Knull (Pool 4)
  • Silver Surfer (Pool 4)
  • Valkyrie (Pool 4)
  • Zabu (Pool 4)
  • Kang The Conqueror (Pool 5)
  • Stature (Pool 5)

Death is the centerpiece of a Destroy deck, and is stronger thanks to recently added locations that encourage destruction. Mystique can greatly amplify existing strategies in a similar way as Wong. Mister Negative reverses the cost and attack of your whole deck, allowing some nasty unusual combos. Ultron is the star of a Patriot or Ka-Zar deck with his swarm of low-cost drones.

Cerebro’s ability to strengthen your card with the highest power becomes lethal if you can set the power of all your cards to be the same, giving them all the “highest power”. Several other cards, such as Valkyrie, can help make that easier. Knull has great potential for Destroy decks, but time will tell whether it does better than other Destroy staples.

Marvel Snap B-Tier Cards

These cards are more niche. They can help support certain deck archetypes, but not as the centerpiece. Only spend on these if you’re sure you can use them.

  • Absorbing Man
  • Agatha Harkness
  • Agent Coulson
  • Black Widow
  • Baron Mordo
  • Colleen Wing
  • Debrii
  • Electro
  • Falcon
  • Giganto
  • Goose
  • Hazmat
  • Helicarrier
  • Hell Cow
  • Juggernaut
  • Kingpin
  • Luke Cage
  • Magneto
  • Maria Hill
  • M’Baku
  • Miles Morales Spider-Man
  • Mister Negative
  • Mojo
  • Nick Fury
  • Omega Red
  • Quinjet
  • Red Skull
  • Rogue
  • Sandman
  • Spider-Man
  • The Hood
  • Wasp
  • Bast (Pool 4)
  • Dazzler (Pool 4)
  • Sentry (Pool 4)
  • Super-Skrull (Pool 4)
  • Galactus (Pool 5)
  • Master Mold (Pool 5)
  • Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Pool 5)

Agatha Harkness is a special case, since she plays the game instead of you. She’s used not to win, but to rapidly grind out games to increase Collector Level. She only earns Boosters for herself, but these can be used to grow a player’s collection. She also has a few deck setups that make her almost usable!

SHIELD-aligned cards, like Agent Coulson or Maria Hill, add random cards to the player’s hand as their effect. These are decent for newer players without a huge collection, but they’re not reliable, and won’t set up the big combos you need to win serious games.

Galactus‘ effect to destroy all other locations is powerful, but requires a decent amount of setup to get working correctly.

C-Tier Cards: Marvel Snap Token Shop Tier List

marvel snap adam warlock bad card

These cards don’t have a great use yet, and are best avoided.

  • Adam Warlock
  • Beast
  • Black Bolt
  • Black Cat
  • Crossbones
  • Crystal
  • Doctor Octopus
  • Drax
  • Maximus
  • Omega Red
  • Orka
  • Polaris
  • Quake
  • Ronan the Accuser
  • Typhoid Mary
  • Viper
  • Yellowjacket
  • Shadow King (Pool 4)
  • Shanna (Pool 4)
  • Darkhawk (Pool 5)
  • Ghost (Pool 5)

Even though several of these cards are hard to use correctly, don’t count any of them out completely. As the meta evolves, their value does as well. Thanos, for example, was nearly unplayable on release, but is now a reliable game winner.

Final Thoughts

Marvel Snap is a very fluid game. Your matchups change completely based on the cards you’ve found as well as your win rate. New and Favored Locations dramatically alter the dynamics of each game, and they change as often as weekly. Each season also introduces an impactful new card, and anyone who buys in gets it immediately, altering your opponents’ decks.

Point being, it’s not possible to build an ultimate deck that always works. Some cards are stronger than others, but climbing the ranks is dependent on using a deck that responds to the current pool of opponents you’re facing, which is always changing. Even then, it’s more important to snap and retreat at the right times.

For that reason, it’s a good idea to hold on to your Collector’s Tokens as long as you can. What’s strong today can be weak tomorrow, and those tokens are slow to earn. High-value Series cards are planned to move to Series 3 as time goes on, so if you buy a Series 4 or 5 card, you’ll feel dumb for wasting tokens when they get moved to Series 3.

In summary, spend sparingly. Get the cards you would use, in decks you know you enjoy playing. Consider buying a favorite character if you have one, but be aware that Marvel Snap doesn’t let you use whole decks of your favorite heroes if you want to do well. Synergies are too important. As always, the winning play is to do whatever makes the game the most fun for you.

Fortnite Winterfest Guide: How to Complete All Week 2 Challenges

Fortnite’s Winterfest 2022 is currently underway with a plethora of challenges for players to complete. There are a total of 15 challenges to be completed in Week Two for snowy rewards and XP. Here is how to complete all Winterfest 2022 Week 2 Challenges in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.

Fortnite Winterfest 2022 Week 2 Challenges

Every Fortnite week 2 Winterfest Challenge.

As mentioned, there are a total of 15 challenges for players to complete. Some of these challenges are wintry themed, tasking players to hide in snowballs to attack enemies, while others are more basic, focusing on damaging opponents in snowy areas. Here are all 15 Winterfest 2022 Week 2 Challenges:

  • Play Matches (Five Stages)
  • Decorate Traffic Lights for Winterfest (3)
  • Throw Holiday Presents at different named locations (3)
  • Check the Cozy Lodge each day to possibly find a slice of pizza (3)
  • Pop out of a giant snowball and damage players within 10 seconds (250)
  • Deal damage while standing on the snow or ice (Five Stages)
  • Discovery Quest – Earn XP in Creator Made Experiences (50,000)

Play Matches

For our first 5 stage Challenge of Week 2, players will need to simply play matches. As a multiple stage Challenge, keep in mind that each stage counts as a completed Challenge. Most likely you will reach the number of matches played, while completing the rest of the Challenges, or if you are an avid Fortnite player. Otherwise, you can grind this out by loading into a match and quitting after the on screen indicator updates your progress.

Decorate Traffic Lights for Winterfest (Week 2 Challenges)

Traffic Lights that need to be decorated can be found in Slappy Shores, Faulty Splits, and the unnamed gas station west of Faulty Splits.

You can not decorate the same Traffic Light across multiple games; however, you can still interact with Traffic Lights if someone else already has. This is cumulative and doesn’t need to be completed in a single game, but the fastest way would be to land at Faulty Splits and decorate the two Traffic Lights here before heading west to the unnamed gas station.

Throw Holiday Presents at Different Named Locations

Holiday Presents are an item that can be found on the ground or looted from Chests. They are thrown on the ground creating a large, room sized present. Inside will be all kinds of rare loot for you to grab. Find a Holiday Present and throw it in three different named POIs to complete this Challenge. This is cumulative and doesn’t need to be completed in a single game.

Check the Cozy Lodge Each Day to Possibly Find a Slice of Pizza

Open a present in the Cozy Lodge for this Fortnite Winterfest challenge.

This Challenge tasks players with finding 3 slices of pizza in the Cozy Lodge. The Cozy Lodge is an area in the pre-game lobby that players can visit to open presents and hang out. Slices of pizza can be found scattered throughout the Lodge; however, they spawn in per day and you aren’t guaranteed a spawn every day. Once one spawns, simply highlight it and press the interact button to eat it. Do this 3 times in total to complete the Challenge.

Pop Out of a Giant Snowball and Damage Players Within 10 Seconds

Snowballs can only be created in the snowy portion of the map, which is the northeast corner of the island. To create a giant snowball, players need to use their harvesting tool on the ground, repeatedly hitting it until a giant snowball is created.

Then, you can hold the interact button to jump inside of the snowball to hide. You can’t control the snowball’s direction, so some planning needs to go into completing this. Jump out of the snowball and surprise attack enemies for 250 damage to complete this Challenge. This is cumulative and doesn’t need to be completed in a single game.

Deal Damage While Standing on the Snow or Ice (Fortnite Winterfest Week 2 Challenges)

Deal damage on the north part of the map for this Fortnite Week 2 Winterfest challenge.

Again, players will need to travel to a snowy portion of the map and fight enemies there. Make sure you are fighting while outside as being in buildings won’t count as being on the snow or ice. This is another 5 stage Challenge, so remember that it counts as 5 different Challenge completions.

Discovery Quest – Earn XP in Creator Made Experiences

This Challenge tasks players with earning 50,000 XP in Creator Made Experiences. Creator Experiences can be found through the Browse function or by searching with a specific creator code, if you have an experience in mind. You can replay the same experience or multiple different ones to complete this Challenge.
