Nintendo Executive Responds to Question About ‘Metroid Prime 4’ by Sticking Fingers in Ears and Saying ‘Na-Na-Na I Can’t Hear You’

KYOTO — Many video game fans have been wondering about the latest news on Metroid Prime 4, a game first announced in 2017, to which executives at Nintendo have responded “na-na-na, na-na, I can’t hear you,” according to frustrated sources.

“NA-NA-NA-NA I CAN’T HEAR YOU,” shouted Doug Bowser during a press junket, twirling his index fingers around in his ears. “Perhaps you would be interested in one of our other recently announced titles such as Fire Emblem Engage, Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, or Harvest Mo- I mean, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Unless we decide not to think about those either at some point. In which case: NA-NA-NA-NA-NA. I’M PLAYING A GAME CALLED ONLY I CHOOSE WHAT TO TALK ABOUT, YOU LOSE!”

Members of Retro Studios, the Texas-based video game developer who co-developed Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong Country Returns, appeared confused and disturbed by the controversy.

“Several higher-ups from Nintendo of Japan have been in and out of our office on a regular basis,” stated Michael Kelbaugh, president and CEO of Retro Studios. “Initially, the fourth game was set to be developed in-house over at Nintendo. But one day we got a call from Mr. Miyamoto, who said something along the lines of ‘please take this burden away from us. The amount of despair it has brought us and our families can no longer be tolerated.’ And he just hung up. I mean it’s not like we’re constantly busy with multiple projects, so we said sure, we’ll re-do your entire game for you.”

Luckily, one person from Nintendo was able to shed a little more light on the situation.

“The number 4 can be read the same as the word for ‘death’ in Japanese. Superstitions play a large role in Japanese culture, and that includes business and development,” said Yoshiaki Koizumi, head of Nintendo’s entertainment and planning division. “We tried our best, we really did. We know that a lot of people have been looking forward to this release for some time, but please understand the game is haunted. That is all I can say at this time. My fingers are in my ears. I cannot hear you. Na-na-na-na. Thank you for understanding.”

At press time, an indie developer was trying to put his fingers in his ears and say “na-na-na I can’t hear you,” after receiving a cease and desist for his game Pokémon Sex Island, to no avail.

Best Harley Quinn MultiVersus Combos, Strategies, & Perks

Harley Quinn, former Joker fangirl and current leading lady, is one of the premier assassins in MultiVersus. Fast and deadly, Harley can lash out with a storm of strikes, and mess up her enemies with traps as well. If you want to strike crushing blows and then laugh about it, here are some tips on how to best use MultiVersus Harley Quinn’s moveset.

Harley Quinn Moveset Overview – Basic Attacks

harley quinn basic attack

As a MultiVersus Assassin, Harley Quinn’s normal attacks tend to be quick, and easy to chain into one another. Some of Harley’s attacks apply a unique status effect called Confetti, which triggers a damaging burn effect after enough hits. Harley is at her best when she can apply Confetti, then perform a multi-hit combo for big damage and a burn at the end.

  • Neutral Ground Attack: The big hammer. It’s chargeable and does heavy knockback at a low angle, making for a good horizontal kill move on an otherwise vertical character. Of course, it’s also slow, locking Harley in place. It’s easily punished if your opponent knows it’s coming, and Harley can’t take much punishment. It’s safer when intercepting an offstage opponent.
  • Side Ground Attack: Harley’s basic ground combo. Four hits with her bat at different heights, ending with an upward swing. It’s great for getting multiple hits in a row to trigger Confetti, but as with most built-in MultiVersus strings, it’s not always a true combo. Doing a different attack in place of the finishing swing, like down attack or up special, can open up stronger combo routes.
  • Up Ground Attack: A quick upward swing with the bat. It’s great for ending a side ground string. It also has an extra property: when fully charged, it becomes a twirling tornado with multiple hits and a strong finish. This attack is often overshadowed by others, though. Up special in particular is a similar bat swing, but with much greater range.
  • Down Ground Attack: A chargeable sliding kick. The charge increases the slide distance, starting short and becoming lengthy at full charge. This move can be used to zip forward and poke occupied enemies, or to modify a combo string with more options. It also comes with a follow-up: pressing down ground a second time kicks the opponent away.
  • Neutral Air Attack: In the air, Harley’s big hammer is a lot scarier. It’s still big and chargeable, but it doesn’t lock her in place. She can swing while jumping forward, allowing her to menace enemies with a big moving hitbox. It even has a “sweetspot” that does extra damage: behind her, at the end of the swing. Even if Harley’s target dodges, she can still catch them with this powerful follow-up.
  • Side Air Attack: A short air combo ending in a cool backflip. Great for harassing aerial targets and stacking Confetti. If this combo ends up dragging the opponent onto the ground, Harley can chain it into her side ground string for even more hits.
  • Up Air Attack: An explosion of upward confetti, which, yes, applies the Confetti debuff. Harley is a Vertical character, meaning her deadliest abilities launch her enemies upward to be bullied with further upward attacks. Her best air finishers are this, and her upward special. Thanks to the Confetti, this attack is best used on low damage enemies to soften them up for the up special kill later.
  • Down Air Attack: It’s a projectile! A boxing glove fired downward, like Mega Man’s Hard Knuckle from Smash Bros. Great for spiking from a safe distance. When used onstage, it can set up an easy vertical combo. Be aware that it bounces when it hits a surface: the ricochet can sometimes hit, but the bounce prevents this attack from passing through thin platforms. Watch out on stages like Trophy’s E.D.G.E. 2, where that tiny moving platform can sabotage your moves.

Harley Quinn Moveset Overview – Special Attacks

harley quinn special attacks

Unlike most other characters in MultiVersus, all of Harley Quinn’s special attacks work exactly the same in the air as they do on the ground.

  • Neutral Special: This attack has three steps. The first press readies the Batman doll. The second press throws it. The third press detonates it. While the doll is readied, using a directional special throws the doll instead. This lets Harley throw in any direction, but also briefly prevents her from using her specials. The doll travels slowly, and not very far, but it hangs around on the ground for a while. It sticks to the first person it touches: enemy, ally, or yourself. It will then detonate after a short time, or immediately if you press neutral special while it’s out. Against enemies, it deals damage and applies Confetti. Skilled Harley players can trigger the bomb and follow up with a free combo, or end a combo by triggering the bomb for the last hit. It’s slow to set up and use, but it controls a good deal of space. Attached to your teammate, it restores their jumps on detonation, allowing them to play aggressively. The timer’s short, though, so this feature is hard to set up without good coordination.
  • Side Special: Harley dashes forward, turns around, and fires a boxing glove behind her. This wonky move is best used to confuse an enemy who thinks they know where you’re going. Use it sparingly, though. It’s a little slow to fire, making it easy to punish if anticipated.
  • Up Special: This is Harley’s best kill move, no contest. A wide swing with the bat, hitting the area above her and giving her a little height as well. Much of Harley’s gameplan is based around chasing the enemy into the air, then finishing with this attack. Be aware, though, that aggressive air pursuit can leave you vulnerable if you miss. Using this counts as one of two allowed air specials. Use an up air attack instead if you’re worried about running out of jumps.
  • Down Special: Harley places a jack-in-the-box that acts as an explosive trap. Simple and straightforward – have this deployed whenever you can. It’s on a cooldown, but that only reinforces how useful it is. It will even hang in the air! The setup lets Harley stall in the air for a moment, and also lets her put it in awkward positions for the enemy. It can hang offstage to block recovery. One Harley player set theirs near the top of the map, so any enemy knocked into it would die instantly from the trap’s mild knockback. There are plenty of applications that make this a scary, stage-controlling trap – and both you and your teammate can trigger it to restore your jumps, to boot.

How to Win Team Battles as Harley

harley arya cromulons

MultiVersus‘ Harley Quinn is fast and deadly, but she dies quick. Her strengths make her a solid teammate in most setups, but she doesn’t have many dedicated support moves. She’s best at controlling space for herself and her team, quickly intercepting enemies harassing her teammate, and securing kills off the top of the screen.

When paired with other Vertical characters such as Batman, or anyone who tends to juggle enemies upward, Harley is in a great position to follow up with a lethal air combo. She can also benefit from characters who help her live a little longer. Wonder Woman‘s armor can let Harley shrug off a hit and start her assault, as can Steven Universe‘s shield bubble.

How to Win 1v1 Battles as Harley

harley wonder woman

MultiVersus‘ Harley Quinn’s lack of team skills means she tends to dominate in 1v1. Her speed and combo potential are all you need to open up the enemy and cause lots of damage in a short time. Zip forward with a grounded down attack or a big swinging neutral air attack. If your enemy tries to back off, you can start setting traps. Chain explosions together to get stylish kills off the top!

If Harley has a vulnerability, it’s that she has some trouble dealing with horizontal projectiles. These can disrupt her otherwise decent range, and also destroy her jack-in-the-box. It’s possible for Harley to dodge these and close the distance, but she has no natural defense against them. Be mindful of your MultiVersus opponent’s strengths.

Best Perks For Harley

MultiVersus‘ Harley Quinn’s signature perks are a mixed bag, often with tradeoffs to make. Glove Control is the most used signature perk for Harley, but these all have possible applications based on playstyle.

  • Confetti Explosion replaces the burn effect of Confetti with an explosion launching the opponent upwards a short distance. In theory, this keeps enemies in Harley’s preferred position (above her), and can also trigger a death off the top when applied correctly. Overall, though, it’s hard to get much use out of it without timing and practice. Until then, losing the Confetti burn damage stings.
  • Glove Control alters Harley’s down air attack. In this form, it can be aimed left and right to fire at an angle. This lets Harley attack with the deadly spike from farther away, which is a little safer for Harley and more frightening for her enemies. The tradeoff is that it changes the move’s air momentum. Aiming is slow, and locks Harley in the air for a moment. It’s good for floundering opponents, but easily punishable onstage.
  • Smooth Moves is a straightforward buff, applying some dodge invulnerability to the start of her side special. There’s no downside, so this is the simplest choice, but her side special isn’t super useful. This only enhances its defensive potential a little, but it’s still slow and easily punishable after the startup dash.

For secondary perks, it makes sense to boost Harley’s dodge ability. Since she can’t take many hits, it’s best to avoid being hit at all. A combination of Slippery Customer (10% increased dodge invulnerability) and Fancy Footwork (10% increased dodge distance) can help keep Harley safe. Fancy Footwork’s range increase also helps her pursue enemies with an upward air dodge.

The ever-popular Triple Jump is especially strong on the Vertical-focused Harley, allowing her to add a little extra height to her lethal air combos. Lastly, her starting perk Up, Up, And A-Slay boosts the damage and knockback of her upward attacks a little. Red-colored Damage perks are often too weak to be worth using, but it’s worth considering if you know you’re focusing on upward kill moves, especially if the perk would help your MultiVersus teammate as well.

Completing a GTA Online Nightclub Sell Mission

GTA Online allows players to hustle their way to millions of dollars in a variety of different ways. Some players choose to play contact missions others play the game’s heists. A time-consuming but rewarding method for money-making in the game is the nightclub. Players who own one can use it to acquire goods that can then be sold. In this guide, you’ll learn how to complete a sell mission in GTA Online‘s nightclubs.

GTA Nightclub: Getting the Goods

Before you can sell goods, you’ll need to acquire some. The only way to acquire goods for your nightclub is to hire specialists.

GTA Online Night Club Specialists Management

While in your nightclub, register as a CEO and go to the computer in your office. Next, select warehouse management, and you’ll be able to hire specialists. The types of goods they’ll be able to acquire depend on the businesses you own. For instance, if you own the counterfeit cash factory, you can assign one specialist to Cash Creation.

Sell, Sell Sell!

Sell Goods Screen GTA Online

To start a sell mission, you’ll want to head to the sell goods section while on the computer. GTA Online‘s nightclub sell missions can work differently for many reasons with the biggest being the size of the sale. If you have a high amount of goods that you’re selling, you’ll need multiple people with you to complete the sale. To do this just have multiple people join your Securoserv organization. If you want to do a sale by yourself, you’ll have to sell a low amount of goods.

The sell mission is not always the same but it usually involves driving somewhere and delivering a container with your goods. Once the sale is done, Gay Tony will take his cut from what you just earned. There will be a cooldown timer of 48 real time minutes that prevents you from starting another sale right away. Thanks to the latest GTA Online update, nightclub sell missions are now easier if you’re a solo player as they can be done in invite only lobbies.

If you’re in a public session, you should take at least one other player with you since the entire lobby will be alerted to your location about a minute into the sell mission. If your vehicle is destroyed, you’ll permanently lose any goods inside.

Gaming Chair Comes With Seatbelt

SAN FRANCISCO — A new gaming chair reportedly comes with a seat belt to strap yourself in for a fully immersive gaming experience, sources have confirmed.

“Whoa, that thing looks gnarly,” said local gamer Brandon Fortner, after viewing an advertisement for the new XTSeat CR1500, which boasts a seat belt across the lap, similar to those found in cars and roller coasters. “I mean, these things have looked like the seats in race cars for years already, fuck it, why not throw a seat belt in there. Lord knows I fall out of my seat while playing Rocket League more often than I’d like to admit. Maybe I’ll get one of these.”

The seat belt is but one of several new features coming to the CR1500 that takes inspiration from automobiles.

“This is really going to be the best gaming chair on the market, hands down,” said Dave Clackstone, CEO of HyperSpace Gaming Chairs. “We finally just went for it and added a seat belt. Fuck it.  But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. We also have added seat warmers, a cup holder, and a power window on the left side of your face that you can roll up or down, if you’d like. There is also an airbag in the seat that will eject you into the air when jumpscares happen. It’s so, so cool.”

The HyperSpace XTSeat CR1500 will be available this holiday season for $2,499.

Alolan Dugtrio Cast in Major Role in ‘House of the Dragon’

NEW YORK — A blonde-haired Dugtrio from Alola will appear in HBO television series House of the Dragon, representatives of the Pokémon confirm.

“So, first we get all these weird holes and burrows being photographed all over the set, right? Okay, big deal. Someone’s got a big dog on set or something. But then, there are reports of tremors at the recording location. Nothing huge! Just little earthquakes, somewhere between magnitude 2–5,” said YouTube TV critic Nolan43 in his latest video. “Now, hear me out; there’s three dragon heads on the Targaryen flag. And you know what else has three heads, all decked out with beautiful blonde hair? That’s right,” he concluded, flashing an image of Alolan Dugtrio on screen and looking expectantly at the camera.

Other fans pointed to a zoomed-in photo of the set from a distance, showing what they claimed was the distinctive shape and blonde hair of the Alolan variant of Dugtrio.

“The photo is a little blurry, I’ll give you that, but I played Pokémon Moon every day for a year. I know an Alolan Dugtrio when I see one,” said Suzi Takara, moderator of the third-largest Facebook group dedicated to Alolan Dugtrio. “It’s either that, or three trash cans with a yellow tarp over them. But I’m pretty sure it’s Dugtrio.”

Almost immediately after the role was confirmed, rumors began to spread that Dugtrio was difficult to work with.

“Yeah, I had to do a kissing scene with that guy. Or guys, whatever. Is one of them a girl? Is that possible? Can two be boys and one be a girl? Ugh,” said a disgruntled cast member who requested to remain anonymous. “It was honestly one of the worst scenes of my life. The director didn’t even tell me which head I was supposed to kiss. I got three pairs of eyes all staring at me — what do I do? And they wouldn’t stay still. Just gyrating up and down. It was like apple bobbing for a hot dog’s lips.”

After the announcement, key art was leaked depicting altered Targaryen house words, “Fire and Blood, and also Ground and Steel with 110 base speed and Sand Veil.”

Timothée Chalamet Prepares for ‘Wonka’ Role by Drowning Child in Lake

LONDON — In preparation for his performance in the upcoming Willy Wonka prequel film, actor Timothée Chalamet has reportedly drowned a nine year-old boy in order to better inhabit the sick and twisted mind of the beloved children’s character.

“As an actor, it’s important to understand the psychology behind the character you’re playing,” said Chalamet, shaking his hands dry. “And when you’re dealing with a really vile individual, like a war criminal or the eccentric owner of a fantastical chocolate factory, you have to go to some dark places. But the experience of killing that kid is going to add so much more depth and authenticity to my performance. For instance, as I was holding his head under the water and waiting for the bubbles to stop, I had this profound realization that Wonka… really likes chocolate.”

Chalamet went on to explain that sending a young child to a watery grave was not the only method he employed in his attempt to come to terms with Wonka’s deranged psyche, though it was certainly the most successful.

“Turns out it’s a lot harder to inflate someone into a giant blueberry than it looks,” Chalamet sighed. “I tried force-feeding a girl blueberries. I painted another girl blue and pumped helium down her throat. Nothing worked. After that, I must have jammed five or six kids’ heads into TVs before I figured out that wasn’t going to do the trick either. And the less said about that boat ride I went on, the better.”

Paul and Hanna Fischer, parents of the deceased child, expressed deep sadness at the loss of their darling son. However, they made it clear that they harbored no ill will towards Chalamet for his unorthodox process.

“We will grieve our sweet Gunther for the rest of our lives,” Hanna sniffled, “but I did theater in high school, so I understand that truly daring art is often controversial and requires sacrifice. I can only hope that the film, whatever it is, will turn out to be a timeless classic. Then, in some small way, our beloved Gunther can live on forever.” When informed that the film was a Willy Wonka origin story, she burst into tears and had to be restrained by her husband.

When reached for comment, Warner Bros. confirmed that no animals were harmed in the production of this film.

How to Start a Motorcycle Club in GTA Online

One of the most important features in GTA Online is owning property.  In a lot of cases, it is a necessity. Property is needed to sell goods and complete heists. It’s also necessary to start if you want to run an organization or motorcycle club. In this guide, you’ll find out how to start a motorcycle club in GTA Online.

How to Start a Motorcycle Club in GTA Online

GTA Online Internet Website

The only way to start a motorcycle club in GTA Online is to buy a clubhouse. To buy one, open the internet app on your phone in-game and go to the Money and Services tab and click on the Maze Bank foreclosure website.

GTA Online Purchase Motorcycle Club

Here, click on clubhouses to see every purchasable clubhouse on the map. Select the one you’re interested in and you’ll be taken to another menu.

GTA Online Motorcycle Clubhouse Renovation

On this screen, you’ll choose how you want to customize your clubhouse. Each of these options will cost you money in addition to what you’ll pay for the clubhouse. These include choosing your club’s emblem, the style of the clubhouse interior, and even a gun locker for your weapon stash. When you’re ready, hit the purchase button and the club is all yours.

Things to do in the Clubhouse

GTA Online Clubhouse Interior

Once you’ve purchased a clubhouse, you’ll earn the ability to complete Clubhouse Contracts. These are random missions that’ll appear on the clubhouse noticeboard and can only be started from the clubhouse. You’ll also have the option to earn some extra cash from the bar inside. To keep the cash flowing, however, you’ll need to resupply it every once in a while. If you get bored, you can arm wrestle members of your motorcycle club or sit on the couch and watch TV.

Perhaps the most convenient feature of the clubhouse is that it comes with a room to sleep in meaning you can use the place as a spawn point. This will allow you to immediately jump into any motorcycle club activities as soon as you log onto GTA Online.

The Deltarune Spamton Sweepstakes: What It Means For The Game

On September 19th, the Deltarune website was taken over by Spamton, the failed salesman who tries to steal the player’s soul. The event was called Spamton Sweepstakes, a charity event raising money for Child’s Play. The sweepstakes itself offered a wide range of demented prizes, from “Spamton’s Old Socks” to “Hot Mamas In Your Area Real Wine Glass 100% Replica”. Behind the memes, however, were several actual reveals for future chapters of Deltarune. Here’s what the Deltarune Spamton Sweepstakes means for the game.

Note: This article contains spoilers for Deltarune, including unreleased future chapters.

Deltarune Spamton Sweepstakes: The World Beyond The TV

deltarune dark world tv

Earlier in September, on the anniversary of Deltarune Chapter 2‘s release, developer Toby Fox posted a small update on the production of future chapters, including a glimpse of a new Dark World. Dark Worlds are the meat of Deltarune, each one a differently themed environment with combat encounters and other challenges. On the sweepstakes page, several half-hidden links led to images and characters from unreleased chapters. Most of it is likely from Chapter 3, but could be from any of the three in-progress chapters.

The teased content includes a pair of weather-themed characters, a chair that is consumed by darkness, and a battle scene (click it to play) featuring new enemy attacks and a set of stylish outfits for the heroes to wear for two seconds.

Life (And Possibly Death) of Spamton

deltarune spamton horror toilet

The Deltarune Spamton Sweepstakes was peppered with dialogue from the man himself (Spamton). It’s not clear whether any of it is canon or even relevant, since Spamton is dead by the end of Chapter 2. Some of it feels consequential, though, especially parts from the Q&A incentive answers posted on Twitter. These include a former friendship with Queen’s butler Swatch (“TO THINK HE ONCE PRETENDED TO [be my f r13nd NOW]!”), a couple of references implying he’s the ex-boyfriend of the Chapter 1 secret boss, Jevil (“[$#&* the ketchup kids]”, a meme referring to one’s ex), and a little more information about “Mike”.

This character, referred to only by name in Deltarune Chapter 2, was thought to be Spamton’s enemy. Spamton calls him an untrustworthy criminal, related to a TV set. This TV set appears in several areas of the sweepstakes page, and is tied to Deltarune Chapter 3 for certain, but the dialogue here suggests that Mike and the TV are actually two separate people: “ARE YOU ONE OF THAT [Cathode]’S CREW!? YOU GUYS KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MIKE!!” Cathode referring to a cathode TV. The TV character might be named “Tenna” based on the URL of one of the TV-themed hidden pages. This is all too specific to be a throwaway.

Deltarune Spamton Sweepstakes: Holiday Blues

deltarune noelle blog

The Deltarune Spamton Sweepstakes page also included a chunk of information centered on another character: Noelle Holiday. She’s a central character in Chapter 2, and a significant figure in Deltarune‘s continuing story. The text here seems to confirm those theories. Several of the links on the sweepstakes prizes lead to Noelle’s blog. There, she writes about herself and other characters. The blog posts include a link between Noelle and Spamton (later confirmed by Spamton during the Q&A), a mention of protagonist Kris’ odd behaviors, a dire account of bullying, and a mysterious white egg. Eggs appear in Deltarune as enigmatic secrets. What could this one mean?

Spamton also refers to Noelle as “the angel with the tattered wings”. “The Angel” is an in-game mythological figure related to the destruction of the world. “Noelle is the Angel” was a popular Deltarune theory that now seems especially true.

Overall, the Deltarune Spamton Sweepstakes included a lot of little details related to emergent Deltarune lore. It’s unlikely that any of it is required reading; most devs aren’t Kingdom Hearts-level cruel with plot-essential details hidden in Japan-exclusive phone games. These are most likely just meaty tidbits to chew on while the next chapters are being developed, which could take years. You never know, though. Toby is known to put unique dialogue in odd places, like the licensed Undertale alarm clock. Whatever happens with Deltarune, once thing is certain: it’s going to be weird.

Janitor Cleaning Up at Carrion Facility Really Wishing He’d Been Killed Too

CLASSIFIED — Relith Science custodian Ray Cunningham was reportedly wishing for the sweet release of death after being assigned to clean up the secret research facility recently attacked by a mysterious creature known as “Carrion.”

“Jesus Christ, this place is a living nightmare,” said Cunningham as they waded through a small pool of blood and guts collecting in the 3rd floor men’s bathroom. “I was horrified when I saw that mass of red flesh ripping its way through some of my closest colleagues, but they were the lucky ones, man. They don’t have to figure out how to mop sinew while wearing three pairs of rubber gloves. I hate my damn job.”

Compliant Custodians, the independent contracting agency responsible for janitorial services at Relith, sympathized with Cunningham’s struggle to sanitize the underground caverns where scientists made the fatal mistake of tampering with forces beyond their control.

“Our associates are at the heart of what we do,” said Compliant Custodians’ Chief Communications Officer Sabrina Aaron. “That’s why we’re proud to offer one free hour of mental health counseling and unlimited unpaid mental health days so our hardworking staff like Mr. Cunningham can process witnessing the gruesome deaths of hundreds and return to work as soon as possible.”

Cunningham, the only member of the facilities staff to survive the tragic events, expressed skepticism that the task of cleaning would be completed anytime soon.

“Do you know what I did when I saw the creature? I ran. I ran, and I hid. And what did it get me? A single bottle of bleach. I ran out within five minutes, and I have to go through my HR contact to get another. Guess what? They’re dead. And they didn’t tell me who I’m supposed to talk to instead. I’d give anything to be in their shoes.”

At press time, Cunningham had found additional Hazard Pay compensation in his paycheck in the form of a $25 Applebee’s gift card.

Hi this article is sponsored by Devolver Digital, because they are the publishers of the incredibly cool horror game CARRION. Please check out CARRION. It is gorgeous, spooky, and fun. For extra fun, you can even imagine poor Ray Cunningham cleaning up all the goop and blood you leave behind as you play. Here’s a link to CARRION on Steam; it’s just 20 bucks!

Pokémon Go Player Hospitalized After Encountering MissingNo.

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Local Pokémon Go player Jen Wunner, 27, was rushed to the hospital and placed into a medically induced coma after encountering the glitch Pokémon known as “MissingNo.” earlier this week, according to sources close to the matter.

“Jen was just walking up and down Clearwater Beach, looking for Pokémon, when she suddenly stopped watching the TikToks I was sending her,” said Wunner’s boyfriend Josh Abrams. “After 18 minutes with no reply, I called the police. They found her having a seizure on the beach and had her airlifted to the hospital. We still don’t know if she’s going to be okay…”

An examination of Wunner’s possessions confirmed that she had encountered and captured a MissingNo. within the popular mobile game. Authorities also found 99 tablets of ibuprofen in her pockets.

“We haven’t seen a case like this in over 20 years,” said neurosurgeon Dr. Rebecca Palm. “MissingNo. are relatively safe to observe in the wild, but very dangerous if captured. The patient’s memory is totally scrambled, she may recover but she’ll never remember her Hall of Fame Pokémon ever again.”

Nintendo and Niantic have refused to comment on the incident, though word of the glitch is rapidly spreading throughout the online Pokémon Go community.

“I just want to see it for myself,” commented reddit user PkmnGoFYS, who claims to have been walking along a beach in their state searching for their own MissingNo. without any success. “And if it happens to duplicate 99 copies of the $20 bill in my pocket, well then so be it. I’m not scared, I’ll just close my eyes or something. It’s not like mobile games can actually fry your brain.”

At press time, Wunner remains unconscious and largely unresponsive, though MRI scans show spikes of brain activity whenever the name of a Pokémon is mentioned. Reddit user PkmnGoFYS has not been seen online in four days.
