The Exosuit mechs in Helldivers 2 seem formidable at first glance, but players are quickly discovering shortcomings in its design philosophy. For one, it it woefully under-supplied with ammunition. This Helldivers 2 guide is all about whether you can resupply or reload ammunition in the Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit.
UPDATED April 16
Helldivers 2 Reload Patriot Exosuit
There is absolutely no way to resupply the Patriot Exosuit in Helldivers. Not a single pickup, no in-world resupply points, and the Supply Pack Stratagem is no use here either. Your only hope is to make the absolute best use of the 14 rockets and 1000 rounds of gatling gun ammo you receive when the Exosuit makes landfall. Read on for tips and strategies for most enemies when using the mech.

Helldivers 2 Patriot Exosuit Weaponry
The Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit is expected to be the smallest and lightest of all the mechs we will eventually see in Helldivers 2.
It is equipped with a single missile pod holding 14 rockets on it left shoulder hardpoint, and a gatling gun or minigun on its right shoulder hardpoint.
The Patriot Exosuit can stomp low-to-the-ground enemies when in striking distance.
Read on in the next section, on how to make the best use of these three attacks.

Helldivers 2 Patriot Exosuit Conserve Ammo Tips
The first and best thing to know about calling in the Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit is that the dropship itself will fire away at any enemies in the vicinity while dropping off your mech. This is especially useful when you want to get some free shots in on a larger adversary at no expense to your reserves or that of your mech itself. Clamber inside and mop up the leftovers.
The Patriot Exosuit can melee! Use it! On the smaller or low height Terminids it is invaluable for conserving ammunition, as Scavengers, Hunters, and the like are a one-stomp kill. While the mech can be very slightly damaged from incoming melee strikes, it is negligible overall. There is also no damage from just making physical contact with enemies.
The Exosuit is also immune to bile, poison, gas, fire, electrical/EMS, and any other environmental damage, so use that to your advantage with certain strike package Stratagems when in close contact.
The Patriot Exosuit minigun has medium armor penetration, and can slice right through Sentinels for one, but is wasted on the Charger carapace which requires upwards of a hundred rounds to strip away.
Chargers are a two-shot rocket to the leg to tear of the armored carapace. Instead of wasting a third, finish it off with a short burst from the minigun instead.
Devastators are also shredded by the minigun, but only directly in the face or unarmored power pack on their back. The waist and arms are secondary points of weakness. The shield is considered heavy armor, and is a complete waste of a target for either weapon.
Ideally, you will conserve the minigun for small to medium sized, lightly armored enemies, especially if they are of the swarm behavior type.
Rockets, on the other hand, have little to no splash damage and thus are wasted on mobs of enemies.
Bile Titans are a two rocket shot to the face, or just one if you can land it perfectly in the mouth itself.
Turrets are a two shot to the weak spot, as are tanks. However, it appears that it can be deflected if it makes contact at just the wrong angle. This is likely an oversight, as this behavior was patched for some other weapons based on player feedback.
Three missiles to Automaton Dropship thrusters/engines will down it with all aboard, effectively crushing them on impact with the ground, and blowing up any remaining survivors in the ensuing explosion.
That’s everything we know about not being able to reload the Exosuit in Helldivers 2, along with every tip and strategy for conserving its ammunition.
