Here’s a hefty hotfix for Total War: WARHAMMER III on March 19, 2024 for PC. There’s bug fixes, tweaks, and UI adjustments, as well as the removal of a bad name from the random name generator.

Greetings!

Today we're bringing you Hotfix 4.2.2 for Total War: WARHAMMER III, which tackles a few bugs, crashes, glitches, and more.

Here's what we've got:

We've made some visual adjustments to Saytang to ensure lore authenticity, aligning it with the concept art we previously shared within our blog "Patch 4.2 Shadows of Change Content Additions – Part 1: Cathay".

Fixed a crash that could occur during Sea Encounters.

Various Griffons have grabbed a slice of the Upelkuchen cake and are no longer shrunken on the Campaign map.

Replaced Assault Unit (Deal damage to one unit in the target army) with Assault Units (Deal damage spread across a random portion of units in the target army) for all characters. This affects the following heroes:

Fixed an issue where the Changeling's Trickster Cults would be revealed when any army (including enemy armies) retreats from a pre-battle involving the Changeling.

Melee units now have a bit of an easier time pinning down Katarin's sled.

Katarin's sled can now be more reliably targeted by missile weapons.

Fixed a specific issue where Legendary Heroes would not spawn if the army they intended to spawn at (usually the faction leader) was in a settlement that was under siege. We have noticed some additional edge cases of Legendary Heroes failing to spawn which we are currently investigating.

Fixed Vlad and Isabella von Carstein not being able to scout ruins when they are Heroes.

Fixed Vlad von Carstein not spreading growth as a Hero.

Celestial Lion is now a High Threat target. (All single entities are High Threat targets and take focused damage when caught in a splash attack.)

Saytang, The Watcher causes Terror, but hasn't been causing Fear as intended. We're not sure the dictionary supports our position on the difference, but Saytang is too scary for us to tell him no, so, he now causes both Fear and Terror.

Fixed the Cathay technology "Yin Hex" displaying melee units in its tooltip despite it only applying to ranged units.

Raknik Spiderclaw can now equip the Spider Banner magic standard, as the spider gods intended.

Beastmen advanced recruitment horde buildings now correctly appear in their own group.

Fixed an issue with Bretonnia Lords where their unit cards did not match their 3D model.

Druzhina now flips a coin during one of his idle animations instead of simply miming the act.

Fixed an issue in the Sisters of Twilight quest battle "Search for Ceithin-Har" where the herdstone buildings could be manually targeted and destroyed by ranged units.

Caravan Master skills that modify encounters (e.g. amount of Cargo paid as a toll or the chance of an Ambush Battle occurring) are now correctly calculated with each skill level.

Fixed Drycha not receiving the "Stolen Power" trait when unlocking Coeddil.

Fixed instances of Heinrich Kemmler's portrait being extremely wide.

Fixed Ulrika Magdova's porthole being too zoomed out.

The 3D porthole for the Chaos Lord of Tzeentch on a Disc of Tzeentch no longer focuses exclusively on his crotch.

Clan Skrat's faction leader Metastorm is now properly generated with both a face and a name.

The Kislev red line skill "Creatures of the Land" now correctly states that it applies to Frost Wyrm units.

The Bretonnian vow "Pledge to Campaign" (win a siege battle in a desert or jungle climate) can now be completed when reinforcing in battle.

Added the missing Chaos Warshrine mount to the Chaos Sorcerer Lord of Tzeentch (Metal).

Renamed the Grand Cathay technology "Nan-Gau Polearms" to "Nan-Gau Weaponry" to better reflect the effects it provides.

The Chaos Sorcerer and Chaos Sorcerer Lord of Tzeentch (Metal) now correctly have the "Prismatic Plurality" skill instead of "Evasion" on their magic line.

The Lizardmen Exotic Animals resource building now also affects Feral Troglodons.

The Lizardmen Exotic Animals resource building has a hidden effect reducing Recruitment costs - this effect is now visible.

The Hexoatl landmark building Blessed Incubator now also affects Feral Troglodon and Dread Saurian units.

When using the MS store version of DaVe, reprocessing the campaign no longer breaks frontend faction selection.

Fixed the camera clipping into the terrain in the intro cutscene to Grombrindal's quest battle "Rune Helm of Zhufbar".

Recently we learned that one of the random names generated from the High Elf pool had connotations that could be tied to an abominable character from 20th Century history. Upon learning this, our teams have taken immediate action to return to WARHAMMER II so that we can release an update removing the name.

As the name is also accessible within WARHAMMER III, we've similarly directed our team to make the very same update here as well.

We apologise that the name has been present in the game for this long, and are grateful to those who brought it to our attention so that we could take action.

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, the latest entry in the MudRunner series, has had a bit of a rocky start with the playerbase, but the developers continue to toil away at the game. This first hotfix for March 19 should address several bugs and issues, but is strictly on PC for now. Console players will have to wait until the fixes are pushed to them as part of a full scale update next month.

Here is the first hotfix for Expeditions: A MudRunner Game. Note that this hotfix is only be available on PC for now. It will drop on consoles as part of the next update in April.

Bridges and avalanches bugs has been solved

The bug that allowed the sale of previously sold tyres has been fixed

During the tutorial, you only have access to the necessary and utilitarian buttons that are useful in the pop-up for some significant reasons, such as Menu, Minimap, and Brake.

The tire Inflation System and the Interaction With Zone hints in the tutorial disappear after using the LBM button

Objective models appear correctly on the deploy zones after they were opened as rewards

The empty notifications after completing a quest stage have been removed

The minigame’s camera angle in the side quests Tourism Season and Fossil Photos has been corrected

Opening the pause menu while using the Metal Detector does not disable the Back button

In the Garage, the 'new' label now disappears after clicking on the customization menu when there is only one item in a category

Fixed missed hubs on the Step 310E (high suspension and ultimate)

● New Portal Content: ‘Valley of Life and Death’
– ‘Valley of Life and Death’ is a large-scale team PvP content where Dragonians from all servers within each region can engage in battles with a normalized playing field.

● ‘Valley of Life and Death’ Schedule
– ‘Valley of Life and Death’ will progress in biweekly seasons, with the Valley opening twice daily, for a total of 14 times per season.
– During the opening of ‘Valley of Life and Death,’ characters of Level 100 or higher can participate up to 3 times a day.
– The first season of ‘Valley of Life and Death’ will take place from March 25th (Mon) to March 31st (Sun).

● ‘Valley of Life and Death’ Rules
– ‘Valley of Life and Death’ will be conducted with 50 players, 5 randomly assigned to each team, for a total of 10 teams. If 50 players are not recruited by the end of the Valley’s recruitment time, the game will be automatically canceled.
– All participants in ‘Valley of Life and Death’ will have the same character (Level 100) and skill level (Tier 8), and their stats will be fixed according to their class.
– In ‘Valley of Life and Death,’ you can earn activity points by killing boss monsters, enemy characters, resurrecting allied characters, absorbing Stat Beads, and destroying the Cintamani Stone to grow your stats.
– A devastating thunderstorm called the ‘Great Lightning Circle’ that inflicts continuous damage will occur in ‘Valley of Life and Death’ as time progresses, and its range will expand.
– ‘Valley of Life and Death’ lasts for 12 minutes, and at the end of the game, the team rankings will be determined by combining the score earned by team members.

● Every week, excluding weekends, the World Boss ‘<Blackhorn Winged Drakin> Drakazan’ will appear on a random day.
– The World Boss ‘<Blackhorn Winged Drakin> Drakazan’ will appear in a dormant state every Monday at 2:00 AM. and will become active for battle on a random day, excluding weekends, when the dormant state is lifted (you can meet him in the ‘Black Dragon Abaddon’ in the Domination Server – Black Dragon Valley.)
– The appearance of ‘<Blackhorn Winged Drakin> Drakazan’ can be confirmed through Drakazan’s status on the Domination Server entry screen. It will change to a Standby state at 4:10 AM. on the day the dormant state is lifted, and then changes to a Vanquished state at 9:10 PM.
– Notification messages will be displayed in the home server and the Domination Server when the World Boss ‘<Blackhorn Winged Drakin> Drakazan’ appears.
– The ‘Black Dragon Abaddon’ where the World Boss ‘<Blackhorn Winged Drakin> Drakazan’ is summoned can accommodate up to 450 people, and if entry is not possible, you will be placed in a waiting queue.
– If a character dies, penalties such as EXP and item loss, and increased death waiting time will be applied (there is no decrease in Alignment Points due to PK).

– The basic options for Wu Yeogi’s Gourd are CRIT DMG Reduction and PvP DMG Reduction.
– Depending on its Enhancement Stage, Wu Yeogi’s Gourd can enhance stats such as Silence Success Boost, Knockdown Success Boost, Bash DMG Reduction, and Skill ATK DMG Boost.
– Wu Yeogi’s Gourd can be obtained through the Shop, exchange with <Darksteel Exchanger> Mu Younggaek, and as a participation reward in Valley of Life and Death.
– 8 new Achievements for Wu Yeogi’s Gourd have been added.
– The number of times Enhancement fails for Wu Yeogi’s Gourd at a specific stage will accumulate, and you can obtain an enhanced Wu Yeogi’s Gourd as an achievement reward.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the arguably the greatest game to have come out in recent memory, but still requires a little tender loving care from the developers as unforeseen bugs crop up that need addressing. That’s pretty much exactly what this latest hotfix #22 on March 18 does, and the complete patch notes are below. Tread carefully, for there be spoilers ahoy!

Baldur’s Gate 3 Update Mar 18 Notes Hotfix 22

Hello everyone,

We’re rolling out another small hotfix on all platforms today that takes care of a couple of crashes and blockers, as well as a couple of bug fixes for Minthara, so hopefully now she’ll stop spilling the beans.

We’ve also fixed an issue where a legacy dialogue flow had been enabled unintentionally while carrying out fixes for Minthara, which meant that some players had been able to view dialogue where Minthara would seemingly end a relationship with Dark Urge players if they had resisted their urges and made a certain choice in Act III.

There’s good news for Xbox players, too! Today’s hotfix also brings both Hotfixes #20 and #21 to your platform, which means issues with cross-saves should now be resolved. Thank you again for your patience while we worked to fix the issue, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused you (and your saves!).

If you’re experiencing any issues after installing this latest hotfix, please check whether the issue still persists with all mods uninstalled. If you continue to experience this issue after uninstalling mods, please contact our support team and submit a full report to help us solve your issue.

We continue to work on further fixes and patches, but in the meantime, thank you for playing Baldur’s Gate 3!

Baldur’s Gate 3 Update Mar 18 Crashes And Blockers Hotfix 22

Fixed a crash caused by the game trying to access the duration of a condition on a character with no conditions set.

Fixed conditions sometimes trying to get their duration from the source entity instead of the target entity.

Fixed some potential internal crashes on Xbox when suspending the game (e.g. when suspending the console or loading another game), causing it to reboot when you went back to it.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Update Mar 18 UI Hotfix 22

Improved the messaging for syncing and cross-saving by indicating when a cross-save sync has failed and adding an option to try again. Also prevented the saving and cross-saving messages from appearing for secondary local players.

Voice chat will no longer overlap the minimap on split-screen.

Fixed the 'Another Player Is Joining' pop-up not triggering while the host has a panel open on Xbox, potentially preventing the client from joining.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Update Mar 18 Scripting Hotfix 22

Fixed an issue where legacy dialogue had been enabled unintentionally as part of another line of fixes, in which Minthara would seemingly end a relationship with Dark Urge players who had rejected Bhaal.

Made Minthara promise to stop repeating her thoughts about Gale in Act III.

Fixed a bug causing you to get perpetually stuck in a dangerous area if you triggered hostilities in the Emerald Grove and then left while it was still a dangerous area.

Fixed a rare issue where dialogues would end suddenly when you went to kiss your romantic partner.

Fixed a bug causing you to get stuck in combat with the enemies on top of Moonrise Towers if you found a way to sneak into the Mind Flayer Colony.

WWE Writer Shoots Down Claim About The Rock on SmackDown

A WWE writer and close friend of The Rock has shot down claims that ‘The Great One’ has been going overtime during recent segments.

Brian Gewirtz has been working with Dwayne Johnson for some time, going all the way back to the Attitude Era, and he refuted a recent claim from Fightful Select that The Rock’s segments had been going “too long” and over their allotted TV time.

Referring to the latest SmackDown, Gewirtz tweeted “The segment went 30 seconds under its allotted 20 minutes” in response to a post from Cultaholic mentioning the Fightful report.

Do The Rock Segments go long?

Fightful Select would update readers on the situation via its Patreon subscription account, noting: “The Rock’s concert [on SmackDown] was only scheduled for one segment internally, but those backstage told us ‘of course’ they figured it would go longer.

“Brian Gewirtz has claimed on social media it went 30 seconds less than it’s allotted 20 minutes” the site concluded.

Segments involving The Rock over the past few weeks have done monstrous numbers in terms of television ratings.

As of writing, the ratings for this past Friday’s show have not been revealed, but the prior week’s main event segment Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Rock and Roman Reigns drew an average of 2.83 million viewers, according to WrestleNomics.

The second largest segment of the night was the quarter hour prior, which brought in an average of around 2.46 million viewers, and this included the entrances of both Rock and Roman Reigns.

Even if Dwayne Johnson’s segments are going over their allotted time, he is a proven television ratings draw and the network and company themselves are probably extremely happy with the numbers.

AEW Star Gives John Cena Huge Praise

A top AEW star has given John Cena a massive amount of praise ahead of WWE WrestleMania XL, where the former World Champion is expected to appear.

Kenny Omega is currently out of action injured, and he has been doing semi-regular Twitch streams to speak to his fans and followers.

During a recent stream, Omega gave his thoughts on the 16-time World Champion: “No, I have not [met Cena], but I think he’s great,” the former IWGP Champion began (via SEScoops).

“[He’s a] Great professional wrestler. He’s done an incredible amount for the business, I don’t think anyone will be able to match anytime soon. The reason why is because Cena wasn’t doing anything for the sake of an accomplishment or trophy or recognition” Omega added.

“People went out of their way after the fact to say, ‘Look at all this stuff John is doing in his off time.’ Maybe he even laughs at it himself, but for the amount of effort he has put in to make people’s lives better.

“Whether it be Make A Wish, fans at the arenas, or autograph signings, it’s a great example of what the face of a company should be or for the face of the industry. I’m a very big proponent of John Cena. I think he’s incredible” Omega concluded.

Cena has not yet publicly responded to the comments, although he may well not do so considering Omega is such a prominent member of AEW, being one of their Executive Vice Presidents alongside The Young Bucks,

WWE Superstars Reportedly “Unhappy” With The Rock

WWE Superstars are reportedly unhappy with The Rock, with the TKO Board Member apparently causing issues with his content.

According to a new report from Aaron Varble of SEScoops: “I can exclusively report that a recent memo emphasized the need for talent to follow PG guidelines on TV and social media. Despite this, The Rock’s use of profanity, like in a recent promo, has raised questions among talent about double standards. They wonder why he’s allowed to curse while others aren’t.”

One talent backstage was reported as saying “Even if he is the big movie star, shouldn’t everyone play by the same rules? So he can curse and use that to get over, but everyone else is handcuffed?”

The Rock causing issues backstage?

It’s worth noting that this is a rumor/report, however, it does appear to have been verified by several notable different outlets so far.

The Rock was of course part of the late 90s/early 2000s Attitude Era, when WWE was the WWF and not a publicly traded company, so they could essentially ‘get away’ with much more.

Although there are apparently issues now backstage, Rock’s segments have seen the biggest ratings numbers that SmackDown have produced in quite some time…so clearly what he and the company are doing is working.

We’ll see if the Dwayne Johnson calms down his content on social media and television in the coming weeks, but it is unlikely to see much in the way of censorship as it is drawing such a massive amount of eyeballs to the product ahead of WrestleMania XL.
