A compilation of all patch notes thus far, for Incursion Red River, the extraction looter shooter set in modern Vietnam, which entered Early Access on April 10, 2024.

Update 1.0.15.5 – Hotfix June 7

We've released another hotfix for the latest content update that addresses some bug reports and general QoL improvements.

    • Choose Backpack first.
    • It is now available inside the stash to move items.

  • Updated spawning.
  • Updated Attenuation for footsteps & gunshots.
  • Prevented spawning next to objective.

  • Increased draw speed for pistols.
  • Decreased character step height.

  • Fixed items not showing in empty containers after dropping them.
  • Fixed several attachment slot positions on AR-15 handguards.

We've released another hotfix for the latest content update that addresses some bug reports and general QoL improvements.

We've released another small hotfix that tackles some of the most severe issues reported by the community.

Patch #1.0.15.0 May 23

This is the first small content update for IRR along QoL improvements.

 

Hey Everyone!

First of all, we want to say thank you to everyone! It has been an incredible journey so far, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all your feedback and responses since our EA release. After our initial series of hotfixes, we stayed quiet for a couple of weeks to work on some new content, further optimization, and bug fixes. Obviously, there are still multiple steps to go, but we hope you enjoy this first small content & QoL update!

 

NEW AREA

For our first map expansion, we chose to incorporate more of the Southeast Asian identity to the map in the form of a small fishing village. This is just the start to our ongoing priority of expanding on the environment to achieve a more authentic feel to the world. The location features additional environmental storytelling regarding the rebellious VLF faction storing their arms and cargo in the settlement.

 

NEW WEAPONS

With this update, we also introduce two new weapons to our lineup. The much loved KRISS Vector and Remington M700. Both could be used in a deadly combination for long-range and close-range encounters.

 

NEW ATTACHMENTS

The AK-74M also gets some love with the newly added SAG MK3 conversion kit together with a new SAG buffer tube and stock. We have finally also added an AK-74M muzzle brake and suppressor. We also want to take the opportunity to give a shoutout to SAG (Sureshot Armament Group) for providing us with the models. We hope you enjoy the new AK attachments!

 

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

With this patch, we also want to introduce some balancing updates that are based on your feedback. First of all, we nerfed painkillers. We reduced the healing amount and the general availability. It should feel less forgiving to be hit, and as the painkillers right now are very easy to consume, we’ve taken steps to compensate for that. Remember, we will have a complete health system overhaul soon, with healing animations becoming a major aspect of the healing system, so this is only a temporary “fix”. We also increased the main stash by 6 rows (yeah, more LOOT) and added a manual wipe option for those who cannot get enough and want to start all over! :)

 

QOL

We also addressed a couple of QoL improvements. For instance, we adjusted and streamlined the weapon slot usage in the inventory and improved the overall look of the item icons. Furthermore we also reduced the VRAM usage on Quarry drastically by switching to Runtime Virtual Textures, which hopefully produces better results on GPUs below the previous minimum requirements.   • Fixed getting stuck in GCPS/Inventory menu.

Legends of Gaming History: Meet the Three Armed Man Who Designed the Nintendo 64 Controller

REDMOND, Wash. — Passing him on the street, one might think that Ross Palmer was just like any other guy when in reality he is one of the most influential figures in gaming history. After nearly thirty years, Ross Palmer is finally stepping out of the shadows to discuss his visionary role in the Nintendo 64 controller’s controversial design.

“When I first started at Nintendo of America in 1994, they stuck me in the mailroom, likely so they didn’t have to look at my grotesque appendage,” said Palmer, effortlessly curling a forty-pound dumbbell with his extra arm. “I’ve been a Nintendo fan for as long as I can remember. As a kid, if I wasn’t rolling in a puddle just outside the nuclear plant, I was racking up points in Duck Hunt with my trusty light gun. So, when the design team said they were accepting pitches for the new console’s controller, I knew I had to take a shot.”

The Nintendo 64, was fast approaching its release date and designers were confounded by the novel task of developing a controller for 3D gameplay. Luckily, Ross Palmer brought them their solution.

“I remember playing with the original NES controller and using two of my hands to grip the sides but thinking, where do I put my third hand? Does it press the buttons? That didn’t make any sense so usually it would just dangle in the middle while my normie arms did all the work. So when I heard they needed pitches for controller designs, I put together a prototype for a controller that just made more sense.”

On the day of Palmer’s pitch, Shigeru Miyamoto just happened to be touring the American offices and sat in for the meeting. 

“When I first saw the controller, I thought it was a prank,” said Miyamoto-san. “I laughed at the stupid design for nearly ten minutes which the Americans mistook for approval. I kept shouting, ‘Throw that hideous thing in the garbage! Are you people being for real right now?’ But my translator was in the bathroom so they just thought I was excited about the design. Everyone smiled and shook the three-armed guy’s hand like he cracked the code. Whatever. I’m rich now.”

The Nintendo 64 went on to become one of the most iconic consoles of all time, with Palmer’s design giving hope to three-armed children everywhere.

Raccoon City Police Union Secures Paid Suspension for Zombified Officers

RACCOON CITY — As the deadly T-Virus outbreak ravages Arklay County, sources confirm the Police Benevolent Association of Raccoon City has officially secured paid suspension for all of its zombified officers.

Chief of Police and lead Union representative Brian Irons held a press conference announcing the news.

“Undead or alive, we back the blue,” said Irons. “Until we figure out what the hell is going on, my officers deserve to be appropriately compensated for their protection and service to the people of Raccoon City. Even if they are under the influence of this so-called virus, that will not affect their ability to serve and protect. Rest assured Raccoon City is in good hands and we will all get through this.” 

Members of the Raccoon City Police Department, many of which are still trapped inside the shockingly ornate Ennerdale Street Station, have expressed gratitude for Union support during this trying time. 

“Raaaaah, eugh rah gaaaaaaah! Hiss! Blahugh gah gah,” said the top half of Officer Elliot Edwards while crawling towards our field reporter. “Wuablablah eeeeeeeeek eeeeeek eughah! AHHHHHHHHHHH! Rawr,” Edwards continued before we lost all contact with the inside of the Raccoon City Police Department.

Response to this decision has been mixed, with many survivors outside of the R.P.D. expressing concern over giving continued funding to mindless, cannibalistic husks of former police officers. 

“Are you kidding me? I don’t think this city has its priorities straight right now,” said college student Claire Redfield. “I’ve seen these cops brutally murder innocent people with no justification whatsoever, and that was before the virus outbreak! It’s obvious that R.P.D has something to hide, even if that means paying off zombie cops to do it.”

At press time, the Umbrella Corporation USA released an official statement supporting the Police Benevolent Association of Raccoon City’s decision, praising Chief Irons for his swift response to this unavoidable and completely blameless tragedy.

WWE News: UFC names expected for Battleground this weekend

WWE News: A “heavy” UFC influence is reportedly expected to be seen as part of the NXT Battleground event this weekend.

According to a new report from Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, there is expected to be a heavy UFC presence at the APEX this Sunday:

“Those we spoke to in NXT at this week’s show expect a heavy UFC presence at the Apex this weekend.”

On top of that, it was also revealed that WWE were at one point discussing the use of the UFC Octagon for one of the matches on the card, but it couldn’t work for logistic reasons:

“While the UFC Octagon was pitched for use this weekend, we were told this would cause logistical issues by those we spoke to in production, and unlikely to occur due to these issues.”

WWE News: Contract negotiations with a Superstar whose deal is set to come up soon is reportedly now underway.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Corey Brennan has learned that WWE Superstar Dijak is “being repped by Paragon Talent Group, co-founded Dean “Mojo” Muhtadi and Steven Kaye in negotiations with WWE.”

WWE News: Dihak Contract Negotiations

As of writing, preliminary negotiations are reportedly ongoing, but there isn’t an official offer on the table right now.

The report also noted that if “Dijak were not to re-sign with WWE, we have also been told that there is extensive interest for the Monday Night RAW talent outside of WWE both in and inside of the wrestling world.”

Right now, Dijak’s contract is set to expire at the end of June, and he is currently on the WWE RAW brand but not being used on television, save from one appearance on Main Event vs Pete Dunne since the WWE Draft.

WWE NXT Battleground 2024 Venue: What is the UFC APEX?

WWE NXT Battleground 2024 is set to take place from the UFC APEX this Sunday, but what actually is the UFC APEX?

The building is situated in Enterprise, Nevada, and was officially opened on June 18th, 2019. With the onset of the pandemic in 2020, the APEX would end up being where most UFC events would take place across 2020/2021 behind closed doors.

The APEX is now being used by WWE as the UFC and WWE merged into the TKO Holdings Group, and this will be the first-ever pro wrestling event taking place from the Ultimate Fighting Championship building.

Gamer Removes Two of His Ribs so He Can Reach the Controller on the Floor

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Hardcore gamer Brian Ramirez recently entered a clinic that specializes in body modifications for gamers to remove two of his ribs so he could reach his controller on the floor. 

Ramirez had recently dropped his controller and was unable to reach out to it on the floor when he realized that he needed professional help. 

”It was my usual night of playing Forza Motorsport for 8 hours straight and after losing the final lap I threw my controller to the floor. I was just so mad. But what happened next was unimaginable. I was unable to retrieve it. My ass was so glued to the leather couch that it was impossible for me to get up. I tried to bend down but I only got so close,” said Ramirez. 

Brian’s mother Jane found his son in a weird position on the couch. 

“I busted in Brian’s game room and he looked like he was trying to… you know. I yelled ’Brian, what are you doing?’ and he explained with teary eyes that he couldn’t reach his controller. Thankfully I had just seen on Facebook Doctor Dreponovitz’s commercial for his clinic that focuses on helping gamers. We called the doctor immediately”.

“When Brian contacted us here at ’Gamer’s Delight Clinic’ I told him that this is a basic procedure that we do these days,” explained Doctor Stephen Dreponovitz. “A lot of gamers have reached out… no pun intended, that not only are they unable to grab their controller from the floor but they are willing to modify their body to quite extremes. One gamer even asked if it’s possible to have four arms so he could play co-op games alone. I said to him the same thing I said to Brian. Anything is possible.” 

Brian’s procedure was a success and his mother is very happy for her boy.

“He now keeps his door locked and tells me not to bother him when the Forza soundtrack is playing loudly. I guess he is just happy now that he can finally reach his controller. He seems way more relaxed. I couldn’t be happier for him. Thank god for Doctor Dreponovitz.”

At press time, Ramirez has not been seen leaving his room in the weeks since the surgery but he has posted to Twitter claiming he is now considering elongating his arms so he can place his controller on its custom stand without having to get up.

Balancing

  • The Ministry of culture now rewards 5 bonus global happiness per noble instead, this is due to the Eric Jr. bug.

Dark, Brooding Anime on the Human Condition Also Includes Men Getting so Horny Their Noses Bleed

The anime world has a love affair with the new series My Brother Is A Suicidal Wizard, a dark, brooding examination of the human condition that also features men getting so horny that their noses spontaneously bleed.

“I’ve never seen a better examination of existential ennui, depression, and seeing a schoolgirl with such big cans that your nose excretes a river of blood,” said weeb Quentin Cross. “There are long, static shots, of the protagonist crying, describing the feelings of emptiness and pain he is always feeling. It really helped me to get through a tough time myself, because a lot of what I was feeling I also saw on screen. Then he spies on a group of sunbathers and one of them knocks him on the head with a wooden mallet, leaving a comically large bump on his head.”

The creator of the series, Hiroshi Tanaka, explained how he adapted his life experience to the screen.

“I’ve gone through some very dark periods in my life, and you can see that on screen, as well as my excessive horniness,” explained the accomplished award-winning writer. “I don’t think there’s any better medium than anime, because you can represent sadness, depression, and excessive fanservice in a hauntingly beautiful way. My favorite scene is where the suicidal wizard has to explain to his sister that depression is a disease, and then casts a spell to enlarge a woman’s tits. That’s straight out of my life.”

My Brother Is A Suicidal Wizard has been receiving rave reviews from the anime community, including some of the foremost experts in the medium such as anime historian Dante Poole.

“It’s a perfect anime. It might be the darkest one I’ve ever seen, and the chicks are so fucking hot,” explained Poole. “There’s a scene where he’s attempting suicide, it’s really hard to watch. Fortunately, as he’s about to hang himself, his crush comes in in a bikini, and a massive bead of sweat runs down his face and his nose just gushes blood like a volcano, and he has to explain he was just practicing tying knots before hiding his massive erection. It’s a truly beautiful metaphor.”

At press time, the producers have recently announced a sequel anime in which the wizard finds a very young-looking 300-year-old witch.
