WWE has confirmed that a brand new Championship will be coming to the NXT developmental brand in the very near future.
NXT General Manager and daughter of The Rock, Ava Raine, revealed during the Stand and Deliver Premium Live Event that a new Women’s North American Championship would be introduced.
The announcement came after Thea Hail, Fallon Henley, and Kelani Jordan beat Jacy Jayne, Kiana James, and Izzi Dame during the show.#

New WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship Revealed
Fans seemed excited by the announcement in the arena, and there was an overall sense on X/Twitter that it was time for the women lower on the card than the likes of Lyra Valkyria and Roxanne Perez.
It has not been confirmed if there will be a tournament to crown the new Champion, but it would certainly be something that makes sense over the coming weeks ahead of the next NXT Premium Live Event.
NXT’s next big event is Battleground in June, where the company will be heading to the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
