#17 — Charged Set
Leans too hard into unicorn territory, and not in the way that you’re thinking. Maybe that bridesmaid did see you from across the bar and liked your vibe, though. What do I know.
#16 — Archaic Set
This isn’t half bad. A little more exposed chest than usual wedding attire, but the sandals are kinda trendy and the whole thing has a vaguely Greek look to it. Maybe the theme is “toga party.”
#15 — CeCe Hat
Deeply niche dress code for this one, but for some sort of avant-garde high-fashion deal, this is a total slay. Giving Met Gala Billy Porter realness. Just hope that no one realizes there are mushrooms on the hat and gets panicky because they just watched The Last of Us.
#14 — Glide Set
Hear me out: masquerade ball reception. It works, right? And as a bonus, no one will know who you are under your mask. Gives you a chance to crash a really expensive party.
#13 — Island Lobster Shirt
I can see this tunic going over well at one of those beach weddings where everyone is barefoot and white people are wearing leis. The perfect linen shirt to wake up devastatingly hungover from tropical drinks in.
#12 — Desert Voe Set
Listen, I won’t lie, this is one of Link’s best looks in the series. He’s absolutely serving in this. I know I already trashed the Zonai set for not having a shirt, but at the end of the day, I just kind of think Link looks hot here. Sorry.
#11 — Stealth Set
This is honestly the sickest look in the game from an aesthetic standpoint. It’s sleek. It’s cool. It’s kind of sexy. It’s got a facemask built in in case anyone is still freaked out by Covid. We love to see it.
#10 — Ember Set
You know what? This is a possibility. It’s modest, ornamental, and looks formal without being too flashy. The horns are a lot, but eventually the bride will forgive you. Maybe she’s into animal skulls and shit!
#9 — Climbing Set
Honestly, this is not far off from some of the outfits I’ve seen at lesbian weddings. I don’t hate it. Very practical. You never know when someone is going to need a stainless steel caribiner.
#8 — Hero Set, Wind Set, Sky Set
These all look similar enough where I can say that any of these are a very acceptable choice to wear to a wedding. Not 100% perfect, but by no means terrible. Kind of like these as items in the game.
#7 — Soldier’s Set
An unconventional but decent idea! It’s a touch Renaissance Faire, but hey, maybe the happy couple are into that? You’ll certainly be very easy to find, with all the metal sounds banging around every time you walk to the punch bowl.
#6 — Time Set
This is the most recognizable of Link’s throwback sets, and a deeply respectable choice for a wedding. The tunic kind of looks like a polo shirt. Just hope that no one confuses you for the manager of whatever chain restaurant the after-party is in.
#5 — Snowquill Set
This is a solid choice, especially for a destination wedding in like, Alaska or some shit. You’ll stay nice and warm. You might get called out for cultural appropriation, though. To which I say: you know the Rito aren’t real, right?
#4 — Twilight Set
Of the in-game legacy armors, this is your best choice. It’s straightforward but still looks like you put in a modicum of effort. Which is more than I can say for myself most days.
#3 — Champion’s Leathers
Yeah, that’s cool. Not too dressy, not too sloppy, got a bit of a Lord of the Rings vibe if that’s what you’re going for. Lots of straps and pockets and stuff for holding stuff. Will make you look like a wedding photographer who has one of those harness things.
#2 — Hylian Set
An excellent choice. Basic, but intentional, nice pants and a nice top. Bonus points for a snazzy hood. A little Dungeons and Dragons, sure, but who cares when you look this fly. I mean, it’s practically khakis and a dress shirt if you think about it. What’s more “average wedding” than that?
#1 — Royal Guard Set
Here we have it, the best bet in the entire game to wear as a wedding guest. It’s classy, formal, and the beret is high key cute. People will definitely ask if you’re in the wedding party, and also if you’re a time traveler. Win-win!
