Snowfall is a rare annual event in GTA Online, not least because the game is set in Los Santos, the GTA counterpart to bright and sunny Los Angeles. With the winter weather comes snowballs and snowball fights, and this GTA Online guide will show you how to pick up snowballs on each platform.
Note that on any platform, this process will have to be repeated in Freeroam if you hop between sessions, as your snowballs are wiped every single time.

How To Throw A Snowball In GTA Online
The controls are the same as any other throwable, so simply aim with the mouse or thumbsticks and use your defined fire buttons.
Snowballs are (obviously) single-use only, so you will have to craft more as you go.
You should note that not only does the snowball have a parabolic arc, but it is also quite slow—no frozen fastballs to the face here.
Tips On Winning Snowball Fight Deathmatches in GTA Online
Both headshots and bodyshots are a one-shot kill, but bodyshots can very rarely take two hits to drop an opponent. In Freeroam however, it takes several successful hits to kill players with snowballs, though AI pedestrians only take three.
Combat roll to dodge snowballs lobbed at you, and immediately prepare to lob one right back.
You will be at your most vulnerable while reaching down to pick up snow for more ammo, so be aware of your surroundings and try to stay in cover.
