Vice would take the win after hitting a spinning backfist to Baszler and then following up with hammer fists on the floor, causing the referee to call for the bell.

WWE NXT Battleground 2024 is set to take place tonight from the UFC APEX, but how can fans watch the live stream of the event?
Like most WWE Premium Live Event shows, the card will be streamed live on two platforms, and it depends on where you are based in the world as to how you can watch.
Fans in the United States will be able to watch all of the action live via the Peacock streaming service. WWE has been part of Peacock for some time, and you can subscribe to the service for as little as $4.99 per month.
Peacock costs $6 a month for an ads-included version of the service. Premium Plus, the ad-free version, costs $12 monthly, which means that you won’t miss any of the action from any WWE event on there.
WWE Network
Fans who are outside of the United States will be able to watch King and Queen of the Ring 2024 live if they are subscribed to the WWE Network.
A subscription to the Network works out at £9.99 per month, and it gives you access to the majority of the company’s back catalogue as well as events from brands such as WCW and ECW.

It’s interesting how nostalgia comes in layers. The concept of the “boomer shooter” started with games that were deliberate throwbacks to the golden age of the FPS, which stretches from roughly 1993 (the first Doom) to 2001 (Halo: Combat Evolved).
Now the incessant passage of time has led to the emergence of a new type of nostalgic FPS, which are based on all the post-Halo, post-Half-Life shooters that came out on sixth-generation consoles. They’ve got big, blocky graphics; their levels are split up into digestible linear chunks; their worlds are built around the 1990s’ concept of the future, where there are colonies on other planets but nobody has a flatscreen monitor; and they’re based on the assumption that you’re trying to play an FPS on a controller, so there’s usually some baked-in aim assistance. If I felt like being an asshole, I could call these games “zoomer shooters.”
That’s 3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks’ Phantom Fury. It’s a throwback to the 2000s that can proudly stand alongside classics like Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter, Cold Winter, Urban Chaos, and Project: Snowblind. Three people are amused by that sentence and I’m satisfied with those numbers. Moving on.
In 2101, Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison wakes up in an off-books medical facility with a new cybernetic arm. Within minutes, a rogue element in her PMC tries to kill her. After Shelly escapes, her commanding officer sends her to New Mexico, to find and retrieve an artifact called the Demon Core before that rogue element can get it.
Up front: I would not call Phantom Fury (PF) a traditionally good game. The physics are janky, it’s got a couple of glaring holes in its arsenal, the story’s wafer-thin, and most glaringly, none of the guns have any sense of impact when fired. Some of the later weapons are nice and weird, particularly the one that shoots clouds of alien bile, but none of them have the necessary kinetic force that I need from guns in an FPS. Shelly apparently custom-loads all her shotgun shells with pixie dust.
In its defense, PF also has a few fun levels, a couple of clever puzzles, and plays out at a good pace. Most importantly, it’s got great gore effects, which is always a crucial ingredient in this sort of shooter. Shelly can punch a guy so hard that he turns to soup, and that has to count for something.
Ordinarily, I’d have written this off as a middle-of-the-road shooter – the word I keep wanting to use is “inoffensive” – which doesn’t usually give you much to talk about. The further I got into it, though, the more interested I was in how it’s built. It’s not simply that PF is a throwback shooter, but that it’s the throwback shooter.
It plays out like it’s checking items off a list of game design tropes of the 2000s: vehicle sections, two sewer levels, the protagonist complaining about having to go through the sewer levels, a PMC with more money and manpower than the European Union, a couple of mandatory stealth segments that don’t work very well, ventilation shafts you could use as a parking space, zombies out of nowhere, a “start to crate” of less than 30 seconds, the phrase “there’s no time to explain,” building a tower out of shipping containers with a crane, taking time out during a firefight to play an arcade racer, multiple NPC betrayals (one of which is spoiled by the list of achievements), dual-wielding, turrets you can rip off their mount and take with you, and occasionally, regenerating health. There’s a Dopefish cameo, the first door code is 0451, and at one point, the game goes full Ravenholm for about an hour. If PF had an escort mission and human shields, it’d hit the royal flush.
This attention to detail extends to Shelly, who’s a gender-flipped version of the stereotypical 2000s action game protagonist. She has one personality trait for most of the game and it’s contemptuous rage. There’s a setting in the options for how often you want Shelly to drop a combat one-liner, and all of them are about how much she loves violence.
It’s all carried out with a straight face, but the way that PF insists on playing all the hits makes me think it might be intended as deliberate camp. That in turn turns it into a weird sort of parody, especially for someone like me who played a lot of these games back in the 2000s.
I do have to note that somebody at 3D Realms is officially trying too hard to put Shelly over. This is her third spin as a protagonist, after 2016’s Bombshell and 2019’s Ion Fury, and if they’re going to keep doing this, she has to develop an actual personality at some point. Phantom Fury tries to give Shelly someextra depth at the last minute, but she still comes off like an anger disorder with feet. As we saw with the 2016 Doom, even alittle irony would go a long way here.
That aside, Phantom Fury is a nostalgia project, but it’s focused on an odd window in time. I didn’t think much of it for the first couple of levels, but the further in I went, the more I recognized, until it ended up being funny. There probably isn’t much here for anyone who’s either too old or too young for the era it’s based on, but it’s good for a couple of evenings’ entertainment.

Patch #1.0.15.0 May 23
This is the first small content update for IRR along QoL improvements.
Hey Everyone!
First of all, we want to say thank you to everyone! It has been an incredible journey so far, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all your feedback and responses since our EA release. After our initial series of hotfixes, we stayed quiet for a couple of weeks to work on some new content, further optimization, and bug fixes. Obviously, there are still multiple steps to go, but we hope you enjoy this first small content & QoL update!
NEW AREA
For our first map expansion, we chose to incorporate more of the Southeast Asian identity to the map in the form of a small fishing village. This is just the start to our ongoing priority of expanding on the environment to achieve a more authentic feel to the world. The location features additional environmental storytelling regarding the rebellious VLF faction storing their arms and cargo in the settlement.
NEW WEAPONS
With this update, we also introduce two new weapons to our lineup. The much loved KRISS Vector and Remington M700. Both could be used in a deadly combination for long-range and close-range encounters.
NEW ATTACHMENTS
The AK-74M also gets some love with the newly added SAG MK3 conversion kit together with a new SAG buffer tube and stock. We have finally also added an AK-74M muzzle brake and suppressor. We also want to take the opportunity to give a shoutout to SAG (Sureshot Armament Group) for providing us with the models. We hope you enjoy the new AK attachments!
GAMEPLAY CHANGES
With this patch, we also want to introduce some balancing updates that are based on your feedback. First of all, we nerfed painkillers. We reduced the healing amount and the general availability. It should feel less forgiving to be hit, and as the painkillers right now are very easy to consume, we’ve taken steps to compensate for that. Remember, we will have a complete health system overhaul soon, with healing animations becoming a major aspect of the healing system, so this is only a temporary “fix”. We also increased the main stash by 6 rows (yeah, more LOOT) and added a manual wipe option for those who cannot get enough and want to start all over! :)
QOL
We also addressed a couple of QoL improvements. For instance, we adjusted and streamlined the weapon slot usage in the inventory and improved the overall look of the item icons. Furthermore we also reduced the VRAM usage on Quarry drastically by switching to Runtime Virtual Textures, which hopefully produces better results on GPUs below the previous minimum requirements. To view all QoL improvements, have a look at the complete patch note list!
CONCLUSION
To wrap it up, this update should lead to an overall more polished and smoother experience while also providing some additional content to play around with. This is only the first step, and we cannot wait to bring more content updates to you later this year. Follow us on our socials [YouTube, Twitter ] to be always up to date and make sure to join our discord server [hyper link]! Thanks again, and see you on your mission!

REDMOND, Wash. — Passing him on the street, one might think that Ross Palmer was just like any other guy when in reality he is one of the most influential figures in gaming history. After nearly thirty years, Ross Palmer is finally stepping out of the shadows to discuss his visionary role in the Nintendo 64 controller’s controversial design.
“When I first started at Nintendo of America in 1994, they stuck me in the mailroom, likely so they didn’t have to look at my grotesque appendage,” said Palmer, effortlessly curling a forty-pound dumbbell with his extra arm. “I’ve been a Nintendo fan for as long as I can remember. As a kid, if I wasn’t rolling in a puddle just outside the nuclear plant, I was racking up points in Duck Hunt with my trusty light gun. So, when the design team said they were accepting pitches for the new console’s controller, I knew I had to take a shot.”
The Nintendo 64, was fast approaching its release date and designers were confounded by the novel task of developing a controller for 3D gameplay. Luckily, Ross Palmer brought them their solution.
“I remember playing with the original NES controller and using two of my hands to grip the sides but thinking, where do I put my third hand? Does it press the buttons? That didn’t make any sense so usually it would just dangle in the middle while my normie arms did all the work. So when I heard they needed pitches for controller designs, I put together a prototype for a controller that just made more sense.”
On the day of Palmer’s pitch, Shigeru Miyamoto just happened to be touring the American offices and sat in for the meeting.
“When I first saw the controller, I thought it was a prank,” said Miyamoto-san. “I laughed at the stupid design for nearly ten minutes which the Americans mistook for approval. I kept shouting, ‘Throw that hideous thing in the garbage! Are you people being for real right now?’ But my translator was in the bathroom so they just thought I was excited about the design. Everyone smiled and shook the three-armed guy’s hand like he cracked the code. Whatever. I’m rich now.”
The Nintendo 64 went on to become one of the most iconic consoles of all time, with Palmer’s design giving hope to three-armed children everywhere.
