Top 5 Incredibly Queer Games With Completely Heterosexual Casts

In the year 2024, we’ve been blessed with a huge bloom of diversity in the gaming scene. Openly queer protagonists and casts abound. Beautiful, heartfelt stories being told by those who have lived the experiences they depict. It’s wonderful.

But at the same time, sometimes games meant to be completely heterosexual in nature are the gayest pieces of media ever made playable. It’s like when shows dive so hard into being homophobic that they accidentally present their main male duo as lovers. Life finds a way. No. Gay sex finds a way.

Trust me, I’ve seen Twitter.

5. Call Of Duty: Ghosts

Okay. Going to be upfront here; I know less about Call Of Duty than the IDF knows about avoiding civilian casualties. I know this one has space in it, I think. But what I know for sure is that whoever Soap and the eponymous Ghost are, they’re in love and also married. And also they’re both transgender. If the fanart is anything to go off of, that is.

For whatever reason, these two guys I know nothing about apparently have enough in-game chemistry to inspire hundreds of artists to draw them, like, having domestic cutesy morning breakfasts and stuff. Honestly, more power to them. I didn’t even know Call Of Duty HAD characters! Or plot! Or gay people in it! So THAT’s why they added Nicki Minaj!

4. Team Fortress 2

Keeping with the theme of overly-masculine first-person shooters, there are exactly three demographics that play this game. Traders, the most vitriolic people you’ve ever heard, and LGBTs who may or may not also be furries. Unless they’re playing Pyro. Or Medic. Then they’re definitely furries. I would know. I am one.

A furry, that is. What, do you think I W+M1 like some sort of pussy?

Honestly, I’m surprised this isn’t more well-known. You make a game with no plot and some wacky, stereotyped buff middle-aged men (plus one and a half twinks) who have silly back-and-forths and DON’T expect people to draw them in the world’s most foul-smelling polycule? And when they DID decide to give the game an actual plot, the very first thing they did was place two of the most manly ones in a forbidden-love Romeo-and-Juliet breakup plot. Sure, Overwatch has Tracer. But TF2 has a six-foot bisexual wall of muscle named Jane Doe.

3. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers Trilogy

Pokemon has mass appeal. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, its slightly unloved spinoff, has less mass appeal. But these three games in particular? These three are why you instinctively draw bandanas on Pokemon. These three are why Vulpix is your favorite. These three are why you had a weird attraction to Grovyle as a kid. Nobody I know whose favorite games include the Explorers trilogy are heterosexual or cisgender.

If you consider yourself to be, and you just really, really like the Explorers games because, oh, the plot’s really well written, or the visuals are really pretty, or the music is good, replay one after reading this. Don’t bullshit the personality quiz. Choose the opposite gender for your player character. Come back to me after you beat Primal Dialga.

Either you’ll unlock something deep within yourself or you’ll cry over ‘I Don’t Want To Say Goodbye’ again. Win-win!

…Or you’ll want to fuck Grovyle again. Win-win-lose.

2. ULTRAKILL

Look, we don’t know for sure if anyone is gay or straight. Whatever Gabriel and V1 have going on is some of the most Yaoi shit I’ve seen. A fallen angel and the thing he’s sent to destroy? But hey, sure, whatever, they could be straight dudebros who just wrestle covered in blood, okay. Dubious sexualities aside, though, as far as I’m concerned, this game is for gay people and Vinesauce Vinny. No one else plays it. That’s the sole audience. What other demographic goes as nuts for warped Christian imagery and gory violence as metaphors for intimacy? Fight Club was our jam before dudebros got their mitts all over it. Nobody loves blood and creatures as much as us queers.

I’m not implying Vinny is gay, by the way. He’s an honorary member, like Hozier. Or Gianni Matragrano.

1. Portal 2

You either like Portal 2 for its overall impact on gaming as a whole and its incredibly charming and memorable narrative or you want to hop on those robots and give them the ole pleasure ride nasty-style. Maybe you heard GLaDOS insult you and felt a little something about it. Maybe you remember the wonderful years of 2013 through 2016 when everyone drew Wheatley as a tall blonde twink. Maybe Wheatley was in the list of names you considered when you first came out solely because of that famous fanon depiction. Perhaps you even considered women as a romantic option for the first time because of Ellen McLain’s jaw-dropping vocal performance as GLaDOS. All are possible. Maybe all at once, for some of you.

Honestly, there are worse games to have transgender and or gay awakenings to! Much… much worse games.

Thanks, Cave Johnson, for turning your personal secretary into the MILFiest robot ever devised by human thought. Sorry about the whole dying-in-pursuit-of-eternal-life thing, though. And all the, uh, other stuff. Happy Pride, though!

Upcoming Bazaar Sales Cleanup

Hello Travelers!
Alongside today's Patch Notes, we also wanted to provide notice that on Monday, May 20th, we will be cleaning up all records of Redeemed and Cancelled auctions from the Bazaar. This means closed listings prior to the May 20th cleanup will no longer be displaying on your redeem page. With 1.1, we will be introducing an automated cleanup for this, which will remove old Redeemed and Cancelled auctions after a given time period.

Changes

  • Moved the spawn point in the Keeper's Camp by the waypoint
  • Gathering Storm's Friends of the Tempest now requires that the minion's tag matches Gathering Storm instead of requiring that the minion's ability's tag matches Gathering Storm. This means that, for example, if Summon Wolf has the minion lightning tag, all attacks from your wolves can trigger Friends of the Tempest. This also fixes bugs where some converted minions, such as cold Storm Crows or cold Warcry Totem, could not trigger Friends of the Tempest when Gathering Storm is converted to cold.

The Good Guy – Addons

  • Hidey-Ho Mode cooldown reduced by 10% after hitting a Survivor with Slice & Dice. (was 15%)
Automatic Screwdriver
  • Missing a Slice & Dice reduces Hidey-Ho Cooldown by 8%. (was 10%)
Dev note: Currently, The Good Guy's Power incorrectly starts to recharge as soon as the Slice & Dice attack is started rather than after it finishes, making his Power recharge much faster than intended. This will be corrected in the near future. In the meantime, we have toned down these Add-Ons to make sure they don't get out of hand. They will return to their normal strength once this is resolved.

MultiVersus Update Patch Notes June 18

UPDATED June 19

1.04 Patch Notes June 18

Hello MVPs! This patch accompanies our change to grant players additional Battle Pass XP for daily missions and PvE Rifts completion. We are also planning a larger balance patch, targeting delivery in the near future. But for now, we are continuing to address feedback and hotfix issues as they arise.
After collecting a ton of data, we’re happy to share that our disconnect rates have been dramatically reduced on all platforms including XB1 and PS4.
With the patch that went out earlier today, we fixed an issue where the game was incorrectly treating a long loading screen as a network timeout. We believe this was causing the high disconnect rates on PS4 and XB1. We have been monitoring and believe the patch has dramatically lowered disconnect rates on PS4 and XB1. Please let us know if this has improved for you!
Thanks to everyone who reported this issue and provided additional data – keep your reports coming!
Below you will find our most recent adjustments for both the 1.03 and 1.04 hotfixes.

Gizmo

Gizmo’s maneuverability and size make him incredibly difficult to pin down. His movement combined with his incredibly strong zoning game make it nearly impossible for some characters to ever get the edge against him. These changes should help bring Gizmo’s evasiveness more in line with the cast so it’s easier for other characters to get up close and punish.

    • – On-hit branch window delayed 10 frames

    • ~ Now ignores player collisions during movement

    • * Fixed an issue where firing a grenade lock-on projectile would trigger Morty’s snakes cooldown
  • Ground Side Attack
    • * Fixed an issue where Morty could not jump or dodge during his side attack combo

Reindog

  • Ground Side Attack 1
    • – Jump branch window delayed 6 frames

Shaggy

We have reverted the Shaggy Air Neutral Attack so that it can be canceled earlier on hit, but it did not get into this patch. This change will be coming in a patch in the very near future.

  • Air/Ground Neutral Special

1.01 Patch Notes June 6

We wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the helpful feedback on Reddit, Discord and our other social channels. We’re diligently consuming all of your suggestions and will be making a number of changes based on the info we’ve gathered following launch.
Before we dive into various fixes and improvements coming in this patch, we wanted to mention that Iron Giant has been taken back to the shop for maintenance and is not available to play with right now. We should have a status update by next week.
We’re also planning to address several highly requested changes soon, such as the additional performance improvements, end of game stats, options to turn off team colors, the ability to swap side and neutral attack, and the addition of adjustable input buffer settings. We’ll keep you posted on timing.
Let’s dive in and see what’s new in this patch.

General

  • Lowered Hit Pause on all Hits by 10% in 1v1 modes
  • Players can now try all Fighters in Training Mode, including Fighters they do not own
  • Battlepass XP will now be granted after each PvP Match in addition to Events and Missions.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where players could not complete daily rewards in Rifts Mode
  • Fixed an issue that was impacting performance on Xbox Series X|S
  • Fixed an issue where beam visual effects were occasionally invisible on PlayStation consoles
  • Fixed an issue where certain keyboard configurations would cause phantom inputs in matches
  • Fixed an issue with pause input conflicts in Training

Characters

Legend:

+ = Buff
– = Nerf
~ = Change
* = Bugfix
Note: Attacks callouts reference default controls.

Arya

  • Dash Attack
    • ~ Reduced input buffer window for follow-up attacks

Banana Guard

The goal of this change is to reduce the extreme kill power on Banana Guard’s side specials and bring it more in line with the damage of the rest of the cast.
  • Aerial Side Special
    • – Reduced damage to 10 from 12
  • Ground Side Special
    • – Reduced damage to 12 from 14

Garnet

  • Down Special
    • * Fixed an issue where Garnet and an enemy could be frozen at the end of her Star Grab

Gizmo

  • Up Special
    • – Ally attach cooldown now begins when Gizmo detaches from his ally, instead of beginning when Gizmo attaches to his ally.

Iron Giant

The goal of these changes is to prevent Iron Giant from chaining certain sets of attacks infinitely. While these fixes address some of the issues on Iron Giant, it will require additional fixes to bring Iron Giant fully back online. Iron Giant will remain down for repairs until those fixes are implemented in a future patch.
  • Ground Down Attack
    • ~ Knockback angle is now more horizontal
  • Aerial Neutral Attack
    • ~ Final hit now always knocks away regardless of charge
  • Ground Side Attack

Reindog

  • Aerial Side Attack
    • ~ Knockback Angle is now more horizontal
  • Aerial Up Attack
    • ~ Knockback Angle is now more horizontal

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman’s lasso was a bit too oppressive to play against without any limiter, so we decided to add a short cooldown to the ability.
  • Aerial/Ground Neutral Special
    • – Added an 8 second cooldown for lasso

XDefiant Preseason Update Patch Notes June 18

UPDATED June 19

XDefiant Y1S0.4 Patch Notes June 18

If you thought we wouldn't do another patch in Preseason, you thought wrong! Read more of what is changing in today's Y1S0.4 update.

Gameplay

  • Sped up the process of unlocking weapon attachments by lowering the amount of XP needed to level up your primary weapon, from 3,500 to 3,000, and your secondary weapon, from 1,500 to 1,000. This change is retroactive, meaning your existing weapon levels will likely be even higher now. Pause for polite applause.
  • To counterbalance this speedier access to performance-enhancing attachments--and provide a greater challenge to the community--Weapon Mastery level requirements have increased. However, any player who has already unlocked Bronze/Silver/Gold skins will get to keep them. We're not monsters.

Netcode

  • Improved how quickly your health reacts when being shot, which should reduce the feeling of being shot behind walls.

Weapons

  • Players wielding the MDR while strutting around in the Firestorm skin were experiencing an abnormal level of recoil, which has been reset to normal recoil. So strut away.

Factions

  • Restored the decorum of lying down when dead to players who previously remained on their feet after dying while under the influence of Libertad's Medico Supremo ultra.

Miscellaneous

  • Additional crash fixes.

XDefiant Y1S0.3 Patch Notes June 12

Read below for our Y1S0.3 Patch Notes!

Gameplay

  • Added aiming penalties for players who go to town on the jump/crouch buttons, aka the nuanced tactic of jump spamming, aka the maddening exploit of jump spamming. Opinions vary.
  • Players can now push the package in Escort mode with confidence that their legs won't detach from their torso and strand them, which was a thing that was happening.

Weapons

  • Various fine tuning for long-distance shooting, including slightly reduced walking speed when holding your breath while wielding scoped weapons, which makes sense when you think about it.
  • Revamped how snipers flinch when they're tagged by enemy fire, increasing the flinch and keeping it going through multiple hits.
  • Squared away a PC-specific issue where players couldn't set ADS on toggle after completing a match and changing gameplay input.

Social

  • Fixed an Xbox-specific issue where the Xbox button broke on the in-game Social menu after inviting a player from said console.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed blocked players to read your chat messages.
  • Tweaked the way ping is calculated in matchmaking so you'll have access to a wider group of players who share your ping characteristics.
  • Players were unable to join a nearly full game in progress despite being invited by someone already in the game, but good news: Now they can.
  • Fixed an issue where players could join a game in progress that didn't fit their meticulously customized controller and matchmaking settings.

Netcode

  • Libertad's medical skills were so potent, they were soaking up bandwidth. That's been fixed (the bandwidth issue, not the healing potency, which remains untouched).

Factions

  • Added additional fixes so that Echelon players turn invisible only when using the Digital Ghillie Suit rather than for their entire lives. They're supposed to be sneaky but c'mon.
  • Corrected how feats of Libertad battlefield medicine are highlighted at the end of each round for well-deserved peer-group recognition.

Devices

  • The camera used to shake when nearby explosives exploded whether the explosion caused player damage or not, but now the camera shakes only when the exploding explosive causes damage.

Maps

  • Tweaked the orientation of flags on the Liberty map.

Miscellaneous

  • Crash fixes, various.
  • Reduced the pop-up frequency of the "Banned for Toxicity" notification because you know who you are.
  • Fixed an issue preventing players from deploying abilities and devices after changing control input.
  • The Buzzkill Achievement wasn't unlocking but now it unlocks according to plan.
  • Previously cosmetic items were displayed as available in some places but not in the place where you could actually get them. That's fixed now.

XDefiant Y1S0.2 Patch Notes June 4

Read below for our Y1S0.2 Patch notes!

Social

  • While in a party, we now display the most restrictive Crossplay setting among the party members, as it applies to the whole party. Also fixed an issue where party members with differing Crossplay settings couldn't matchmake.
  • Fixed an issue with displaying incorrect player names on some Social screens.
  • Fixed a crash caused by spamming open/close View Party Invites, but who would even do that, calm down.
  • On consoles, Ubisoft Connect party invites could display as if they were coming from Xbox or PlayStation Network friends. Fixed that, along with some other weird invite-related things.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed some missing terrain textures when players joined matches in progress on some maps.
  • Input-Based Matchmaking setting status now updates correctly after changing it on Xbox.
  • Fixed a thing on PS5 where people could sneak into places they shouldn't via PS5 Activities.
  • Security improvements, various.

XDefiant Preseason Patch 1 Notes May 24

Game Modes

  • Sometimes players loading into the Practice Zone would spawn outside the world, in a hellscape, and now they (probably) will not.

Devices

  • Fixed an issue where if the player died during the device deployment animation, their next deployed device would drop at their feet rather than be thrown as intended.

Netcode

  • That issue where you'd get hitmarkers on an enemy as they killed you, but their health bar still appeared full to you? The health bar display was wrong - you did damage them. Should be fixed now.

Localization

  • Fixed an issue where end-of-match UI text would display with the wrong orientation in Arabic.

Miscellaneous

  • We've turned the Practice Zone back on but it's possible weird things could still happen.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing low framerates with some AMD GPUs.

Preseason Patch Notes May 20

Read below for our Preseason launch day patch notes!

Gameplay

FACTIONS

  • The Echelon faction is back. We fixed the issue with agents turning invisible in a bad way versus the good and intended way (using the Digital Ghillie Suit ability).
  • DedSec's Spiderbot ability has returned. Prepare your face for hugging.

DEVICES

  • Devices (aka grenades) are less likely to fall at your feet if used immediately after respawning, but it can still happen. We're working on it! Grenades are inherently risky.

Netcode

  • Occasionally after you died, you could still run around in the world for a few seconds. Now when you die you stay fully dead, as your opponent intended.
  • Reduced the range between the highest ping and lowest ping in matchmaking, so now you'll be grouped with players who have a more similar ping to your own.

Audio

  • Fixed an issue with killstreak VO lines playing at the beginning of every match and when you died, which was particularly insulting. Turn the announcer volume back up in the Settings menu (Dialogue Volume)!
  • Audio improvements, many.

Social

  • Xbox Series X/S players now see their Xbox friends list as the primary friends list in game.
  • Fixed an Xbox-specific issue where if you suspended the game, then accessed the in-game Social menu and selected "Invite to Party" or "View Party Invites", Ubisoft Connect wouldn't open properly.
  • Fixed an issue on Xbox where if you got an error message while trying to join a full party, key UI elements would disappear.

Localization

  • On consoles, if you accessed the Ubisoft Connect overlay via the Social menu, the text wasn't localized for any non-English languages. It is now.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when accessing the Loadout menu tab.
  • Updated the word list the Chat Language Filter uses.
  • Fixed issues with misaligned HUD elements on PlayStation 5.

Top 5 Products That Sponsored Every YouTuber for 3 Months Before Disappearing off the Face of the Earth

Much like life itself, YouTuber sponsorships are fleeting. Just blink once and you’ll miss it. When you least expect it, they have already moved on to whatever VPN or meal kit will pay the most. While they may want you to think that every sponsorship is a product that they personally use and matches their core values, it’s hard to believe that when every YouTuber is sponsored by the same product. There’s always a product that you’ve never heard of that appears out of nowhere to fund the content of every YouTuber you’ve ever watched and just as quickly as they appear, they dissolve into the night. So since nostalgia pays so well, let us take a trip down memory lane and go through our favorite products that you could not get away from for months, despite nobody you know actually owning one.

5. Manscaped

Up first we have the company that made your favorite YouTuber read off way too many cringey puns about pubic hair. You would think you accidentally clicked onto Home Depot’s website with how they confusingly name their products, with their flagship being “The Lawn Mower.” Though to be fair, an actual lawn mower would probably shave your balls just as well, if not better.

4. Loot Crate

Since everything is a subscription now, of course there is a subscription for gaming and pop culture merch. Lootcrate started when its founder, Wes Hartman, had an epiphany: “You know loot boxes? Everyone’s least favorite feature of every game? What if we did that in real life?” The company saw success until it filed for bankruptcy in 2019 after its subscribers ran out of space for more stuff.

3. Raycon

They are cheap earbuds for the price of premium earbuds. For a while, you’d be hard-pressed to find a single YouTube video that didn’t have a 2-minute insert of the YouTuber putting in their RayCons while explaining how much they love them more than any other earbuds. We were supposed to believe that these things were the cream of the crop despite looking like earbuds you’d see on the counter in the checkout line of a store that doesn’t even sell electronics. These kinds of earbuds are a dime a dozen now, so this isn’t really that unexpected.

Speaking of the unexpected…

This Article is Sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends

Are you tired of mobile games with predatory pay-to-win mechanics? Then you need to try Raid: Shadow Legends. A game so good you won’t even believe it’s a mobile game. Grind for hours as you try to unlock new Legends and upgrade your existing ones. Have hours of fun mindlessly tapping the autoplay button before getting throttled by difficulty that requires you to buy gacha packs. Use promo code HARDDRIVE to get a slight head start that will get you hooked and convince you to give them money!

2. Air Up

Do you wish your water smelled like artificial flavor? Me neither, but for some reason now it can. Air Up is a water bottle that uses “scent-based flavor” to add flavor to plain water. Just add one of their scent pods onto the top of the bottle and supposedly your brain will be tricked into thinking you are drinking flavored water. There really is a market for anything. Shockingly there’s no “Hot Girl Bath Water” flavor which is very surprising given the demographic.

1. Established Titles

To finish off, we have somehow the only thing on this list that is an actual scam. This company’s business was selling titles to a 1 square foot plot of land in Scotland, since owning any amount of land in Scotland makes you a “lord” (according to them). This company made a killing off of tricking customers and the YouTubers they were paying for advertisements into thinking they were actually buying land when in reality it was not possible to sell such small plots of land in Scotland. All YouTubers who were advertising for this company cut ties after it was revealed that their customers were being misled, and their website now refers to these fake titles as gag gifts.

The funniest part is that they’re not even based in Scotland. They’re based in Hong Kong.

WWE News: Jey Uso recently discussed the ‘Wyatt Sicks’ faction that recently debuted and him wanting no part of their shenanigans.

“Cause I want no problem with them, but I mean, I’m very happy I did activate fireflies in the stands, shout out to my boy, still my boy, still gonna show my love to Bray Wyatt, but his family is here now that means I gotta go.

There’s a good chance that we’ll be seeing Uso feuding with the group at some point, but it looks like they have their sights set on the likes of Chad Gable first.

Don't worry, the issue with the building flashing white will be fixed in the future. This is just an early prototype of this feature. Still, we remain extremely excited about this change! Let us know what you think about Indoor Movement and all the recent changes in the comments. And what's most important - have fun, survivors!

Major Update #1 – Gear, Citizen Reproduction, Greenhouses, Tree Regrowth June 6

Greetings Survivors

We are super happy to let you know that a new Major Update is available on the Default branch of the game! At first, our initial focus after the launch was to solve as many bugs and stability issues as possible. After a few updates, we reached a point where the number of stability and bug reports decreased by 90%. Instead, numerous requests for new functionalities and content began to appear.
In this Major Update, we want to meet those expectations. We are adding several new systems and hope that they improve your overall experience with Infection Free Zone. Have fun!

New Features and Content

  • Gear System has been added to the game, including Sport Protector, Riot Gear and Plate Armor. Those will allow extra protection for your squad members.
  • Two new types of POI have been added - Museums and Sports Shops where you can find the Gear.
  • Emblem customization has been added. Now you can both change your zone's name and its emblem. It's also possible to upload custom images to the Infection Free Zone_Data\StreamingAssets\Emblem\Logo folder and use them as emblems in the game.
  • A tree regrowth system has been added. The trees will grow back by themself now.
  • Greenhouses have been added to the game. They cost 4 wood, 8 metal, and 1 tool to build, but are immune to negative modifiers from the weather.
  • The Citizen Reproduction System has been added. When specific conditions are met (enough food, available housing, proper mood level), children will appear in the Zone. Children consume 50% as much as adults, use the house/shelter living slots, and take 12 in-game days to grow up.
  • A resource discard feature has been added (right-click on the resource in your storage to discard the resources).
  • Additional entrances have been added to the buildings to improve the overall scavenging experience.
  • A new Megastorm and Supermoon music themes have been added.
  • The Citizen Housing logic has been reworked. The citizens will now get back to sleep at the closest shelter/house, which should help with running outposts.
  • The Building System has been improved to allow structures to be placed on gatherable objects. The workers will remove the gatherable object first and then proceed with the original task.
  • POI Filters have been added to the View Layers section. Players can now look for specific POIs like guns or gear on the map.
  • Heavy Rain animation for the Megastorm event has been added.
  • New shrub models have been added to the game.
  • Damaged structure models have been added to the game,
  • Snow particles and snow animation have been updated.
  • Beijing Map has been updated.
  • Mast visuals have been updated.
  • It is now possible to select an empty production cycle in the Medbay building to keep on attending to the wounded in the beds but refrain from manufacturing unwanted first aid kits. The UI of this solution will receive an update in the future.

Balance changes

  • The day/night length has been increased by 20%.
  • Default Warehouse capacity has been increased by 20%.
  • The number of potential immigrants wandering around our Zone has been slightly increased.
  • The Globetrotter achievement logic has been updated.
  • Hordes will now attack the encountered farm crops. Farms won't get destroyed, but the production progress will go down.
  • Biome regions have been updated to fix issues with excessively low temperatures in some areas.
  • The Assault Rifle base damage has been decreased by around 50%, but the attack speed has been vastly increased. This should result in the weapon being very strong, but consuming significant amounts of ammo.
  • The Shotgun base damage has been increased by around 25%. The attack speed has been slightly decreased.
  • The Shotguns have been added to the pool of scavengable items in the game.
  • The maximum available angle when placing walls has been increased.
  • The maximum available camera zoom-in has been increased.
  • The camera angle change during zoom-in and zoom-out has been readjusted.
  • The density of trees has been increased.

Bug Fixes

Bugfix Update #3 – No Story Mode, Balance, Metal Towers fix April 15

Greetings, Survivors!

Thank you for playing Infection Free Zone! We are introducing a number of changes based on your feedback to improve the game. Today we are releasing a new update to the Default branch. We have heard your feedback about the transmissions interrupting the gameplay too much, and for those of you, who want to focus on pure gameplay, we are introducing the No Story Mode.

Changelog:

  • No Story Mode has been added to the game - you can play the game without transmissions interrupting your gameplay now,
  • New Van cars have been added,
  • Vehicle repair time has been unified,
  • Vehicle movement logic and the way they turn back have been updated,
  • The damage of the hordes in the water has been reduced by 50%,
  • The building adaptation and repair time has been decreased by 50%,
  • An issue with workers getting stuck in metal towers has been fixed,
  • An issue with weather becoming wrongly calculated after longer sessions of gameplay has been fixed,
  • An issue with Raiders going through the walls has been fixed,
  • An issue with the Tank Truck moving faster than intended has been fixed,
  • An issue with an error appearing after finishing deconstruction has been fixed.

Our current focus:

  • The biggest issue that we are currently aware of is the save files going corrupted after longer sessions of gameplay. We are extremely thankful for the huge number of Bug Reports with this issue, as it will make it easier for us to analyze them and find the source of this problem.
  • Water - we are working on changing the Hordes' pathing prioritization to discourage them from moving through the water and encourage them to move through the nearby roads more.
Other than that, we track all the reviews and feedback to decide on the other changes that should come to the game first. Dealing with bug fixes and performance is of the highest importance for us right now. Thank you for playing Infection Free Zone. We appreciate such a huge interest, even though we just released the game in Early Access.
