A former WWE Superstar has claimed that the company had plans for a Megan Thee Stallion match against Sasha Banks at one point.
Speaking on Mandy Rose & Tino Sabatelli’s Power Alphas podcast, former WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley discussed meeting Megan and the plans that were apparently being put together.
“She was going to do something with Mercedes (Sasha Banks) at WWE SummerSlam in years previous, and it just never materialized and fell through for one reason or another. We all know how those situations can go” he revealed (via SEScoops).
Megan Thee Stallion vs Sasha Banks nearly happened!?
Obviously, the match between Megan and Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone would not take place, and Banks would end up leaving the company at the end of 2022.
Banks, now Mercedes Mone, is now signed to AEW and made her debut for the company at the AEW Dynamite Big Business event recently. It is believed that she has signed a multi-year deal so it is unlikely we’ll see her back in a WWE ring anytime soon.
