Need for Speed Unbound may look different when compared to previous entries, but that doesn’t change the importance of its namesake. As necessary as it feels to learn how to customize and change the driving effects so you can express your personal style to other drivers, that’s no use if you’re stuck behind them. To beat your opponents, you’ll want to know the fastest cars in Need for Speed Unbound.
Choosing the fastest cars can seem a little daunting when there are over 140 different vehicles and a majority cannot even be purchased before progressing through an unspecified part of the story or completing certain challenges. It becomes more intimidating once you factor in how much performance can be elevated through upgrading and that the fastest in a tier isn’t necessarily the highest rated or priciest.
Most races can be beaten by whichever vehicle you like as long as you properly upgrade them, but it helps to know which fares the best right out of the dealership. This guide will go over all of the important information about the fastest base cars for each tier in Need for Speed Unbound, including how to unlock them as well as the stats and cost for both the base and a fully upgraded build.
Need for Speed Unbound Fastest Tier B Car: Porsche 911 Carrera S (1997)
Starting it all off is the Porsche 911 Carrera S (1997), the highest-rated Tier B car that’s also the most expensive. Highlights include the best top speed in the tier and decent acceleration. Neutral handling and traction make it more valuable as players can upgrade and tune it to experience different driving styles.

Tier A: BMW M4 Convertible (2018)
If you were to browse through the list of vehicles early on in the story mode, you might be mistaken for believing that the BMW M3 Coupé (2010) is the fastest vehicle for this tier. That distinction actually belongs to its sportier sibling, the BMW M4 Convertible (2018). The highest rating, highest top speed, and strong acceleration make this one a winner.

Tier A+: Mercedes-AMG GT S Coupe (2019)
Things get tricky starting with Tier A+. Sitting at the very top in ratings is the Mercedes-AMG GT S Coupe (2019). Although it doesn’t have the best top speed or acceleration, it offers a great balance compared to similar cars.

Tier A+: Aston Martin DB11 (2017): Need for Speed Unbound Fastest Cars
If you’re just looking for the highest top speed in the tier, you’ll want the Aston Martin DB11 (2017). The acceleration is ever so slightly slower and it’ll cost you an additional four thousand dollars, but the extra speed can make a difference. It also begins the trend with many of the fastest cars leaning more towards grip handling.

Tier S: Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (2019)
We’ll start this tier at the very top as well, which is crowned by the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (2019). The top speed is second to only one among the other Tier S cars and the acceleration is more than decent for the price.

Tier S: Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV (2009)
Another example of a high rating not equating to the fastest is with the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV (2009). The top speed is a minor improvement, but it matches the acceleration from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (2019). Its steep price hike is offset by the lower rating, which allows some upgrades to be added while maintaining its Tier S status.

Need for Speed Unbound Fastest Cars Tier S+: Bugatti Chiron Sport (2019)
As insanely quick that Tier S+ cars are, the two fastest vehicles are in a league of their own with intimidating 400+ ratings. First is the Bugatti Chiron Sport (2019). Not only is it the most expensive vehicle to purchase, but it also boasts the highest top speed and the quickest 0-60 MPH time. At the time of writing, this is undeniably the cream of the crop.

Fastest Need for Speed Unbound Car Tier S+: Koenigsegg Regera (2016)
Nothing proves that looks can be deceiving better than the Koenigsegg Regera (2016) though. At less than half the price, a lower top speed, and a noticeably slower 0-60 MPH time, there’s some explaining needed for why this is the fastest car in Need for Speed Unbound.
A game mechanic that helps is the 245 mph speed limit imposed on every vehicle, which equally caps these final two cars to the same top speed. Further pushing the Koenigsegg Regera (2016) over is its acceleration. Most vehicles’ acceleration can be understood from a quick glance at the 0-60 MPH time. What makes this car different is that it runs on one gear, allowing for an outstandingly efficient rise in speed.
