IRVINE, Calif. — Fans of Diablo 4 took to social media today to praise Blizzard Entertainment for maintaining their favorite long-running features of the series, including login error codes.
“It’s really nice to see that Blizzard gets what fans actually like about the Diablo games, instead of completely missing the point. For most people, Diablo is about creating cool RPG characters, looting, and being unable to log into the game on launch day. And all that’s here,” said longtime fan Austin Beasley. “A lot of people think Diablo is the most iconic boss in the series, but for me, it’s Error 37. It’s nice to see that reflected in the new game, as well.”
Blizzard developers are reportedly happy to see fans excited about the game they worked hard on for so long.
“People love the Diablo games for its roleplaying elements and tight combat, sure. But I think everyone knows what people really come to the series for: complaining online about how shitty and hard it is to log into the game,” said Diablo 4 director Joe Shely. “Some people have called the game’s dungeons repetitive, but you need to remember: there are six zones in the world and they’ve only played through Fractured Peaks. You really need to experience what the whole game has to offer, and that includes not just the dungeons in other areas of the game, but also the dungeons on Reddit threads and Twitter pile-ons.”
At press time, Blizzard announced that the game would be receiving a lengthy DLC for fans to complain about not being able to play when it comes out.
