WWE is reportedly planning some huge names for WrestleMania XL, outside of the likes of Roman Reigns, The Rock and Cody Rhodes.
According to a new claim in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company are looking at including John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker in the biggest event of their calendar year.
“Cena is free but depending on what acting stuff he has and how quick after he’s filming would determine how much he can or can’t do for insurance reasons,” Dave Meltzer wrote in the latest issue of the Observer.
“Austin and Undertaker would be based on willingness that they have,” he indicated, seemingly noting that the company does want both for the event.
WWE WrestleMania XL Surprises
Whether the company is able to get any if not all three remains to be seen, but all three have appeared on WWE programming in some form over the past few years.
John Cena faced Austin Theory at last year’s WrestleMania event, losing in the opening night of the event.
The Undertaker last wrestled at WrestleMania in 2020, where he faced AJ Styles in a Graveyard match before declaring he had retired at Survivor Series later that year.
Stone Cold Steve Austin last wrestled in 2022 against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38, and many fans are desperate to see the Rattlesnake back in the ring with someone like CM Punk.
