WWE News: Saudi Arabia is apparently trying to get the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania to take place in the country in a couple of years.
Speaking on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Saudi GEA chairman Turki Alalshikh revealed that the country is working on bringing one of the two ‘Big Four’ events to the likes of Jeddah.
Alalshikh revealed that he and the WWE are in discussions about the possibility, with Saudi Arabia having already hosted major events for the company over the past couple of years.

WWE News: Fans react to Saudi Arabia potentially getting Royal Rumble or WrestleMania
The news has NOT been a hit for fans, with many already not happy with the fact that WWE goes to the region already.
Saudi Arabia has been hosting many sporting events over the past few years, bringing massive boxing bouts, MMA cards and pro wrestling shows to the country in what many are referring to as “sportswashing” the image of the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia has had its fair share of controversy over the past few years with regards to women’s rights, alleged dealings and beyond.
Whether WWE is able to broker a deal to take Royal Rumble or WrestleMania to SA remains to be seen, but it would be a huge sea change for two of the biggest events in the company’s calendar, which usually take place in North America.
