Open world smash hit Elden Ring is finally releasing its long hyped DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, and the official gameplay reveal trailer has lots to unpack.

ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree Release Date
ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree is expected to release on June 21, 2024. It is not a standalone DLC, and will require the base game in order to play. Two distinct special editions combining both the base game and the DLC are releasing on the same day.

There are five editions of ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree for pre-order:
ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree
This is the standard standalone expansion for $40. The pre-order edition includes a Ring of Miquella Bonus Gesture.
ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree Edition Premium Bundle
For an additional $10, players can purchase the premium edition that bundles ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree with the Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, as well as the pre-order Ring of Miquella Bonus Gesture.
ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree Edition
This confusingly titled version is actually a bundle of both the base game and the DLC and includes the pre-order Ring of Miquella Bonus Gesture for $80. If you were to buy the Standard Edition of the base game at its current price of $60, plus the standard edition of the DLC at $40, this bundle would save you $20. When ordering make careful note of the word ‘Edition’ tacked on at the end to distinguish it from the standard DLC only version.
ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree Deluxe Edition
At $100 the Deluxe Edition is the ultimate premium bundle of both titles, and includes the Elden Ring base game, the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, and the Digital Artbook & Soundtrack for each. Also includes the pre-order Ring of Miquella Bonus Gesture.
ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree Collector’s Edition
This pricey $250 edition gets you a voucher code for the DLC, but not the base game, as well as:
- Messmer the Impaler Statue standing 46cm/18″ tall
- 40 page Hard-Cover Artbook

The Collector’s Edition is exclusively available for pre-order on the Bandai Namco Entertainment store, and is only available for Steam PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5.
