ROCKVILLE, MD – Following another round of game developer layoffs, infamous Age of Empires Community Manager, AoEatMyAzz confirmed that he is now just another toxic member of the AoE community.
“I’m not mad cause I got laid off. I’m mad cause this game is unbalanced as hell and the devs do nothing.” AoEatMyAzz shared in a Discord DM, along with the addresses of several employees he said were behind the balance decisions. “Matchmaking in AoE4 is complete trash. I can’t play a game without getting matched up against some scrub ranked gold or silver. They quit 10 minutes into the match cause I’m destroying them and dropping every gamer word in the book. Where’s the fun in that?”
AoEatMyAzz continued to list his perceived issues with the current iteration of Age of Empires.
“I have hundreds of hours in AoE4, I know what this game needs. Imba. The whole game is imba,” AoEatMyAzz wrote. “Rus cavalry are too cheap and too exploitable. It’s enough to make me go back to AoE2. Now that is a game.”
Between his ramblings about how broken Age of Empires 4 is and drooling over AoE2, AoEatMyAzz also shared more about his time as Community Manager.
“I held the gates. I defended everyone from this hoard of angry gamers. But now that I’m on the other side, I see that I should have swung that gate wide open,” AoEatMyAzz wrote in all caps. “The gamers were right. They’ve always been right. We’ve always been right. No one knows the game better than us.”
At press time, AoEatMyAzz signed into his smurf account to completely destroy a newcomer to the game and insure they never return.
